The 111th Hive Open Mic event ran from May 22-28, 2022, with the theme: This Little Town. For this week's special event, we invited musicians to bring our voices and instruments together, performing one song in unison: "This Little Town," by Dr. Ebingo Kigigha (@ebingo). This song memorializes Nigerian doctor Chinelo Megafu, and other innocent people, who lost their lives in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack on March 28, 2022.
El evento 111th Hive Open Mic se llevó a cabo del 22 al 28 de mayo de 2022, con el tema: Este pequeño pueblo. Para el evento especial de esta semana, invitamos a los músicos a unir nuestras voces e instrumentos, interpretando una canción al unísono: "This Little Town", de Dr. Ebingo Kigigha (@ebingo). Esta canción recuerda al doctor nigeriano Chinelo Megafu y a otras personas inocentes que perdieron la vida en el ataque al tren Abuja-Kaduna el 28 de marzo de 2022.

The video you're about to see is a mashup, featuring ~80 musicians. We stand together, representing numerous nations, various ages, diverse skill levels... expressing and connecting as one song. One voice. One love!

@khaleesii carried the song like a warrior. Brave. Strong. Fiercely passionate. Her musical talents shone through as usual too, and it is exciting to see the fire she brings when it really matters. This instance is especially meaningful, because it is an expression of activism. Her strength strengthens all of us.
