Hello everybody on Hive and especially the Hive Open Mic Community! My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town South Africa!
This is Week 129 of the Hive Open Mic Challenge, and the theme for the week is "Trust"! Usually I do the Hive Open Mic by myself, but this week I was having a braai (Afrikaans for "barbeque") with some fellow HIVERS, namely @clairemobey - the person who usually joins me on stage recently (and a great songwriter), @zakludick - Claire's partner (who is also the reason why myself and so many other people in South Africa are on HIVE at all) and their lovely daughter @aimeludick.
Claire and I (Mobey-Dick) have a little gig coming up in a couple of weeks where we will be singing mostly original songs, but she wanted me to hear this cover which turned out to be a perfect fit for this week's theme... so in the end we all got involved in this video, and all four of us will be sharing 25% of the rewards of this post:
