" THROUGH THE RAIN "

Hello everyone! This is Nicole once again welcoming you to @HiveOpenMic Week 265 for the theme "Through The Rain." I am delighted to have this theme for I found it profound. Deep in its meaning, and highly reflective. Everyboday has its own bucket of life's rain and mine is never an exception. Just like everyone else, my rain ranges from moderately scattered to heavy to intensely overflowing, enough to drown me if my sanity was not well protected on the other hand. At present, many have found me smiling to my encounters but looking back, I also had a season of darkness for a long time when I felt like I was always being pushed down the murky flood brought by my rain. A sound mind was out of reach and self-esteem had diminished. Hitting rock bottom made me realize that I can't lose my sanity over all those adversities for I had two precious lives I am responsible of raising.
Wading ourselves to a dry land waiting for the sun to appear again takes a lot of courage and undeniably tedious. Let's just take heart. No rain could last long. Overtime, we would discover the strength inside us as we manage life through the rain. And after a thorough recollection, we will be amazed how our rain helped us emerge stronger and bolder as defined by the aphorism that says, "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." Adversity quotient is somehow measured in our resilience. The more resilient we are, the more personal growth we could obtain. Life doesn't come with a manual and is meant to be lived forward though some aspects of it are understood backwards. I guess that's where the beauty of life is found!
For those who are yet in their heavy rain, take heed. A silver lining is up ahead, and perhaps makes you sing this song too. I hope you will like this piece. Good evening everyone!
I Made It Through The Rain (Barry Manilow)
Of facing rainy days
And somehow we survive
We keep the feelings warm
Protect them from the storm
Until our time arrives
Then one day the sun appears
And we come shining through those lonely years
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
When friends are hard to find
And life seems so unkind
Sometimes you feel afraid
Just aim beyond the clouds
And rise above the crowds
And start your own parade
'Cause when I chased my fears away
That's when I knew that I could finally say
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
And made it through
I made it through
