Hello Hiveans! How's everybody doing? This is Nicole and welcome to @hiveopenmic's new theme for week 274 which is 'Mermaid'. I am amazed by how this mysterious creature resonated music.
Folklore! From word of the mouth we all had heard stories about mermaids. And much to our fantasy, a children's story about it had circulated through prints and motion pictures. I came to a point asking myself the significance of this creature in music. The film 'Little Mermaid' had portrayed it well even up to this AI era. Mermaids use their alluring voice captivating their victims, the sailors. Mystique in its form and beauty, their chant is viewed as irresistible and yet dangerously ensnaring its prey.
In that connection, this week I would like to share a chant in the hopes of being a part of this week's global theme for harmony. I may not be able to chant beautifully like the mermaids but I am glad I had found a piece to share with you.
