Art & Lego & Christmas Countdown

I can't believe it has been almost a week since my daughter's company Christmas party. Come to think of it, I was excited for it last week. Here's another room selfie I took while waiting for my daughter so we could go down for breakfast. This was Sunday morning last week. How time flies indeed!

Breakfast was uneventful. I'm glad we got seated right away. It was at a not-so-busy part of the dining too, so we weren't stressed while enjoying our meals. After dining, we decided to explore more around the lobby area. I remembered that they have a tiny art gallery section before the main ballroom. They had a different exhibit from the time we were at the hotel some years back.

Fernando Amorsolo was a famous Filipino painter. He's well-known for painting rural Philippine landscapes. The exhibit only featured three of his works. I took some photos that I added below. Then, I read the details on the banners beside each one.

It dawned on me that the exhibit was from PinoyLUG (Lego User Group). They worked in partnership with Fernando Amorsolo Art Foundation to recreate these three works by the artist using certified Lego bricks.

I focused on the third work and took a close up of the banner where it listed the names of the project lead and its members.

Then I took a close up of the recreated painting. Yep, they were made from Lego bricks. Look at the fine details. Truly fascinating! I love art exhibits.

I finished the nine days of misa de gallo earlier tonight. Yay! It reminded me of the good ole days. This time though I was just livestreaming instead of being at the church physically. I guess it's the sign of changing times.

My 23rd is almost over. So I'm announcing that it's now Christmas eve. I think we still have work tomorrow as the boss didn't say otherwise. LOL! I'll clock in as usual. I hope it will be just as slow as today, so we'll be let off early too. 😂🤣
