Dear hive community, we have come with some good news for the hive blockchain. Since the inception of spendhbd and distriator, @adesojisouljay a developer on hive blockchain has been thinking of a way to make businesses in Nigeria adopt HBD as a means of payment for goods and services. @adesojisouljay having always desired to launch a crypto exchange(EZABAY) immediately got inspired to build a platform where people can quickly exchange their fiat to HIVE/HBD so as to make adoption of HBD for payment of any good or service easier and faster. So @adesojisouljay contacted to inform @starkerz about the plan to build this project.
@adesojisouljay also being a crypto enthusiast and experienced crypto trader has always helped newbies in the crypto space purchase and sell several cryptocurrencies including HIVE/HBD had dreamt of having a crypto exchange where users across the world would be able to easily signup and purchase any cryptocurrency with ease and no barriers.
The concept of spendHbd inspired the layer 2 of EZABAY where users can buy hive and hbd easily.
What Is Ezabay?
Ezabay is a cryptocurrency exchange where several crypto enthusiasts can signup to buy, sell, trade and keep several cryptocurrencies as much as is listed on the exchange.
The dream to build a crypto exchange for @adesojisouljay began since 2021 when he began buying and selling from individuals. This inspired the creation of his WhatsApp group/community where a lot of people are able to contact him to help them buy/sell cryptocurrencies.

What Ezabay has to do with Distriator and Spend HBD

Onboarding users and businesses to hive.
Aside from buying and selling of HIVE and HBD, we have also added an onboarding system for non hive users/businesses to create a hive account by paying with either hive or fiat. This is to make sure that our focus is towards what distriator originally intended(Onboarding businesses and their customers to hive). So when a user/business registers on our exchange, our exchange provides a feature to create a hive account. This ensures that while we introduce businesses and people to spend Hbd, (since we have a way for them to buy and sell hbd), we also provide a way for them to create a hive account. Thereby creating a balance.
Simply saying, you can change your fiat to HIVE/HBD, to claim your reward for paying in HBD, you should first get a hive account which our exchange provides.

The Team
While @adesojisouljay is majorly focused on the backend development and some few touches on the frontend, @kesolink has been assisting with most of the frontend works.
I also reached out to a project manager and explained the goal and concept of the project and he became willing to join the team. Since he didn't have a hive account, I signed him up @pjcryptoking.
We have arranged a few individuals whom we are currently training to understand the usage of Hive Keychain, v4v.app and distriator.com, these ones will be readily available at all business centers to assist customers in the payments of goods with hbd and also help them incase there are any issues.
What we plan is to have a spendHbd or distriator representative at those businesses, who will play the role of marketers by telling customers who walk into any store/business about distriator. The marketers will dress in our branded 'spend hbd' shirts to create awareness in the business centers.
Upcoming Features On Ezabay
Some of the nice and appealing feature that we will be adding to our exchange includes,
Opening our services to hive users in Ghana. We are currently working on a way to allow Ghanaian users to also be able to buy hive/hbd with fiat and convert hive/hbd to fiat.
Allowing users from any part of the world to use our exchange by depositing Bitcoin or Usdt and converting to hive or hbd and vice versa. This ensures that even if fiat is unavailable for a particular user in a country/region, they can still deposit crypto such as bitcoin and Usdt, convert to hive or hbd and use to pay for goods via distriator.
Connecting user's hive account with hive keychain so users can do more than buying and selling, they will be able to interact with hive blockchain and perform some important operations like, posting, commenting, voting, delegation, transfer and so forth.
Finally
Confidently saying, we are over 95% ready to launch, but we are testing some of the features to ensure a smooth and bug free experience to all users. Once we finalize testing, we will announce our launch date. We will tag some users as a way to notify them.
