Yesterday, being Sunday, I attended Hive Meetup.
It was another moment to learn, connect and also entertain ourselves.
The tutor threw more light on a lot and I will share them here to help someone.
I learned about compounding, which has to do with staking Hive tokens (HIVE) and then reinvesting the rewards you earn from staking back into staking again.
She mentioned that it staking doesn't only contribute to the ecosystem, it allows one earn rewards like curation reward, etc.
This staked amount also grow over time, increasing one's potential rewards in a cumulative manner.
I learned how to always set my weekly goals and if possible, write them in the “we are alive community” to keep myself accountable.
She also mentioned staking “alive” in the community every Tuesday to earn rewards.
I learned more about microblogging, which was explained as sharing “short form content within the Hive ecosystem.”
This is made possible using the ecency waves, inleo threads and peakd.
Everything was being broken down to my own understanding.
People who had questions asked them and these questions were being answered meticulously by the tutor.
