So finally, we have an announcement from @roelandp about @hivefest 10 — it's going to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! This is exciting news!
First of all, I’ve been to many HiveFests, and I can guarantee to anyone considering going that the level of organization and professionalism is absolutely top-notch. Roelandp is the perfect person for the job.
This HiveFest will be very personal for me because I spent over six months in Malaysia during COVID, right after the HiveFest in Thailand. Even before that, Malaysia was the destination of my first long-haul trip — I was working at a show at the KL Petronas Twin Towers. So, Kuala Lumpur holds a very special place in my heart.
KL is a true urban jungle, hidden behind tropical trees, with a futuristic skyline, amazing street food, and towering skyscrapers that the sun beams through as the heat rolls in.
I'm already thinking about local trips to Batu Caves or longer ones to Penang or Langkawi that we could do after HiveFest with some OGs. Maybe we could even play the same "last man standing" game like we did on Koh Chang after the Bangkok Fest?
