Well, we finally finished some of the lanscaping work. Especially the centerpiece in the front yard pictured above. It is going to get some more flowers come flower planting time. Some of the perenials are already starting to sprout up though and that is nice to see.
If you look close enough around the yard you can see the bare spots from where the grubs have decimated the grass. That is okay though because we are going to decimate those little destructive disgusting fatties come May. That is when the lawn service comes to treat for them. Supposedly that is the prime time to treat.
That one light is a little crooked on the landscaping timber, it will be fixed tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, we are heading to the county courthouse to take care of some property tax issues. It seems we are not getting a deduction we were supposed to be getting. So, of course there is some paper work that needs to be aquired and then taken there.
While there, we will be voting on a referendum to raise our property taxes or not. Of course we will be voting a big NO. Our taxes have risen almost 60% since wemoved in 5 years ago and now they want to raise them again another 50% for the local school district.
I am all about the schools being funded, but this increase in taxes is just ridiculous. Especially after they released some of the salaries the administrators were being paid and expenses the school had been paying for.
Anyway, I am looking forward to Thursday as well. On Thursday after a doctor appointment I will be eating with some veteran friends at a Mongolian BBQ place. So looking forward to it.
