Hello awesome Hivers and Silver Bloggers
Today, I finally sit down to write my post for the #silverprompts about hobbies and crafts. The last few days apart from being busy, I have also taken some time for myself, and yesterday I met with some of the mums of my son's friends with whom I have made friends over the years. And curiously, this subject of hobbies came up. Since the life dynamics of many of us who do not have other children of school age will change. And with laughter and a few glasses of wine in between, we were making plans about what things we should start doing. Like getting together like yesterday more often, and maybe have a group to play cards or some other board game once a week. We even talked about taking some dance classes.
And since my son will leave home in a couple of months, one of the things that are clear to me is that from September I want to be very busy. But I also want to get back to doing some of the things that distracted me in the past and that for some reason or another, due to the dynamics of life, I left by the wayside.
Time to resume hobbies and crafts of the past
A few months ago, I took out my crochet needles again, and although lately, I haven't dedicated much time to it, It is one of the hobbies I would love to take up again. And it seems that someone else would like me to do it, judging by the joy he had playing with this infinity scarf that I wanted to take a picture of but he wouldn't let me.

This photo of your nephew is for you @tengolotodo.
And at least, he let me photograph this pot holder I made some time ago.
I also did cross-stitch at some point in my life. And maybe it's time to take it up again and embroider Grogu's name, maybe I'll make him a cushion, what do you think?
Something I would like to learn
I would like to learn how to make bread. At home for a long time, my husband and son have at different times tried to make bread with sourdough. Some trials have been less disastrous than others, but none have been very successful. So my husband and I have been talking for a long time about doing a baking course together. There is a reputable school here that trains professional bakers, but they also run courses for amateurs. And maybe it's time to think about saving up to do it.
A hobby to achieve a goal
One of the things I have been passionate about all my life is traveling and getting to know other places, other cultures, and as far as possible, exploring the world. And I have been lucky enough to have been able to travel to many places. But in recent years this has become more difficult for various reasons. However. there is something I would love to do in these years that I would not call retirement since both my husband and I are still active and working. And here for now there is no retirement plan. It is to travel with a backpack and go to different destinations as I feel like it along the way. Just like my younger me did 25 years ago.

And among those backpacking trips, there is one that has been on my wish list for a long time. We've wanted to do the Camino de Santiago for a long time. Maybe 2023 is the right time to do it. But to go for it, besides the need to saving a lot, we have to start training. Hubby has been out of shape due to medical rest. But now he can start exercising again. And one of the hobbies we need to take up again is hiking regularly, especially with the possibility of having a nice trail only 5 minutes drive from home.

These are few ideas that come to my mind talking about some hobbies I want to retake or try for the first time. And this is my entry to Silver Prompt 2: Hobbies, crafts, and retirement. If you would like to participate, you have until tomorrow, July 3 at midnight UTC to do so.
Thank you very much for reading!
