In my day-to-day life, I try to make the most materials that could easily end up in the landfill.
On one occasion that by accident I crashed against a decorative mirror that I had in the dining room of my house, which obviously broke, but I did not throw it away, first, because it is prohibited by municipal regulations to do so, and, on the other hand, I kept it to see what else I could use it for, the result was that I ended up giving it to my niece to make one of her works, this is the final product.
I also like to extend the time of use of boxes of any kind, I decorate them, and then I use them to organize small objects that I need to have classified.
I lined this shoebox with paper that we use at home for recycling and decorated it with a napkin using the decoupage technique.
When I bought my laptop in 2006 it came inside this fabulous box that I immediately began to look for another use, but first I wanted to decorate it, again I used recycled paper to cover the surface and applied the printing technique using different types of leaves which I painted with acrylic paint.
I not only reuse cardboard boxes, I also do it with notebooks which I collect all those sheets that are left unused, then I make a new one, this one I covered with pieces of tissue paper.
This is a coat rack I made many years ago from a shelf door, I covered it with the onion skin.
This is a quilt that my sister made with scraps of fabric that she had left over from projects she had done, which she gave me as a gift some time ago, and which she used in the guest room.
There are a thousand ways to reuse different types of materials, we just have to use our imagination and creativity, in this way we will do our part to keep the earth healthy.
