Hello again, Dearest silverbloggers! šŗ
We got an interesting topic for this week's prompt!
If you would have to choose, are you a Beatle or Rolling Stoner? š And/or what was your very first music album you bought yourself?
And here's my response to our latest prompt.
Reading this post brought a smile to my face, as it brought back lots of memories with my dad and my brothers.
I grew up in a household filled with music, waking up each morning to the sound of it. Without a doubt, I align myself with the camp that my three favorite men in my life love to embrace.
The first song that captured my heart is "Till There Was You." I canāt pinpoint exactly why it resonates with me, but my eldest brother, Erick, played it on his guitar while we sang along. He always had endless patience for my voice, which is definitely best suited for the shower!
I sang that song countless times with him until I moved on to love "Here, There, and Everywhere" and "In My Life"
Now, regarding the first music album I bought for myself, itās important to note that I didnāt really have that experience earlier on because my brothers had already amassed a comprehensive collection at home. Elmer, my second brother, in particular, has always been a passionate collector.
The first album I purchased wasnāt for me; it was for Elmer, and I bought it just last Christmas.
Searching for it was quite the challenge! Considering Elmerās extensive collection, I had to be strategic in finding something he didnāt already have. I collaborated with his kids to pinpoint the perfect album.
My dad was the one who introduced music into our lives. I clearly remember my parents dancing to "Twist and Shout."
So, itās official: In my life... my heart belongs to The Beatles, from the moment I discovered music until now. Although I listened to The Stones' music before writing this, my loyalty lies with Paul, and yes, I would gladly let him hold my hand, and no matter how much he says goodbye, I'll keep on saying hello.
And even if some forever is not for better... they will be my forever. You know... the influence of your family lasts a lifetime. I know, I understand that I need to find my own music but for now, I'll just let it be, as I feel fine and I'm enjoying the sounds that I grew up with.
Here comes the sun! I should post this now, so please don't let me down.
I'll park my pen for now and will continue listening to their songs. Have a great week, everyone!
And if you reach here... Thank you... for the time that you spent reading my write-up.
