Last week began slowly. Very slowly. Because I had a gathering of people around my table. To say that it was a healing communion would be an understatement. Less for me than for some of my guests. Suffice it to say that I was delighted and privileged to create a time and space for people who'd lost touch to reconnect. It was an evening filled with laughter and liquid libations. I was grateful that Monday was a public holiday.
The bulk of my week was involved in preparing the online presence of this beautiful property. More of that as it goes live and is launched early in July.
I love the late pops of colour that winter delivers. It makes me want to put off pruning the roses. That, though, must happen. Relatively soon.
That Mr Richard Parker had a sneaky purry snuggle was a good way to end Saturday.
Of course, my life is governed by felines: mostly this one. He's such a poser and has everyone believing he's the gentlest, sweetest creature on earth.
He is not.
This was Gandalf's revenge: yesterday I went to a milestone birthday celebration and was out longer than usual. Consequently, not only did I get in after dark, but I didn't light the fire. Hunting and leaving the debris where I'll find it is his ultimate revenge.
And so began another week...as the world is on tenterhooks watching events unfold in and around the middle east.
Until next time
