I'm sure many of our Silver Bloggers will be only too happy to say Cheerio and Good Riddance to the Mad Month of March!
The year 2023 started with a bang for many of us. Will the Madness end at the witching hour?
I'm not too confident about that, as we then say hello to... April Fool's Day.
Activity on Hive still seems to be seesawing!
Thankfully we have our stalwarts, many who have become real friends, and form part of our support system.
On a personal note, I have to thank everyone here who allows me to be myself, and not think I'm crazy when I share some of life's blunders, and for listening when I bare my soul during sad times.
Most of all thank you for just being 'YOU,' Special Silver Bloggers!
Back to the business at hand
The usual bit of housekeeping: we now have 1,692 subscribers, and despite the decrease in activity, I must say our #silverbloggers do not disappoint when it comes to producing quality posts.
This community would not be what it is without all of you!

Dude Silvers our techno and graphics wizard, spoke of A Nutter in the Clutter, kind of warning us that the madness is only now beginning.
Anyways, 21st of March today... most of that accumulated "Winter March Madness" will be gone soon. Here it's like the Sun melts it out of the brains, since most madness here has to do with much too much rain and clouds...
For what's coming with Spring, i'm even tempted to say that the madness is just to begin.
Silver-Blonde Lizzie talks about the rude awakening of March 2020, after an idyllic holiday, when her BnB had to close its doors for a long while, and how the birth of Hive became Manna From Heaven.
March Madness turned into a Miracle with the birth of Hive on 20 March, seven days before our lockdown.
I was able to power down all my Steem to buy Hive, which in turn came to my rescue during the period when our BnB doors remained closed, and guest deposits had to be reimbursed.
Hive became like manna from heaven!
Special mention
@carolinacardoza Silver Candy tells of how she followed her crazy dream To achieve the impossible, one must attempt the absurd. She was looking for a house by the sea, and found an online advert showing an upside down picture with just a cell phone number, took the plunge and ended up buying her house by the sea. This impulsive decision paid off with special times and wonderful memories.
A week later and thanks to divine providence the house was ours.
They say that you should never judge a book by its cover and I will never forget that it was thanks to this phrase that I felt confident that this could be the house I was looking for.
Runners up
@thebigsweed Long Silver shared the mountain of snow that surrounded their home and how there was only one door they could open to exit their home, the rest was all snowed in.
March 2017 the winter that marched on and on and on
March madness, came in the way of a wintery month as snow and freezing temperatures had all life hunkered down. By the 14th of March over three feet of snow had fallen within a 48-hour period.
The only exit out of the six exterior doors that weren't blocked by the mountain of snow was the front door. Thank goodness this access door lies under our porch, otherwise, we would have been exiting through a window.
@wandrnrose7 spoke of the isolation she felt Once upon a March after digging in her heels, and staying in the office as long as she could but eventually having to work from home, all alone during the Covid lockdown.
I returned to my faith and began seeking God again for assurance and balance in a time of utter upheaval. That March was like a wrecking ball to my peace and my brain. It did put some things into perspective for me and gave me a greater appreciation for all that I had, including an income that many people were suffering a loss of. I never lost a paycheck over the pandemic.

@farm-mom Jackie O'Silver shared her heartbreaking story when she was on duty in hospital the night her little sister was admitted into the ER after being in a serious accident. Here is a small excerpt of her story...
It was March 29, 1995 and March was going out like a lion. I had to get to work, there was a winter storm warning in effect, and the roads would be slow going. I was a second-shift healthcare worker, a Radiographer, I took Pictures, great job, right? I thought so.
But on this particular evening shift, I would find horror and heartbreak.
Never underestimate the human spirit. My little sister managed to live for 28 years after the accident, one so severe that many thought she would not make it through the night.
