It's that time again: another Blog of the Month. A little late. Let's just say that RL and tech issues are to blame, but here we are!

November theme:
Lessons for my (grand)children from my school of life
As we approach the business end of the year, many of us get into reflective moods. It's also a time we spend with friends and family and friends who are family. This often means those wonderful intergenerational discussions that the kids sometimes love and the adults, well, they just have them. Often, these conversations include our feeling compelled to share that one life lesson that we either
- wished we had not learned the hard way or
- that was so profoundly life-changing that you need young people to learn from it.
Who are the children?
Most of you know that I'm The Cats' Mother and that felines are not good at listening, let alone lesson learning. That said, I may not have biological human children, but I have the blessing of at least one son from another mother. I kid you not. I loved the conversations I had with him when he was a nipper. I love the conversations I have with the young people I am still blessed to engage with from time to time.
So, even if, in the eyes of broader society, you aren't considered to be a parent, I believe that life gives us children - and teaches at least that one lesson we want them to learn.

How to enter your post for the Blog of the Month (#BoM) - the criteria remain the same -
- Posts must be in English and obviously centre on the week’s theme or topic.
- Prose must be a minimum of 350 words. If it’s a photo or graphic essay, the photos must be your original work and preferably with some sort of back-story to the images.

- The account must be a subscribed Silver Blogger
- Use #BoM - blog of the month - as your first tag.
- Share the link to your entry in the comments of this post.

Last words...no pressure
If you're a bit like me, and not a herd animal and I don't do well being pressured - by topics or deadlines, that's ok. The #bom and #silverprompts are intended to nudge and inspire. So even if you don't get your post done by the cut-off time, we will still consider it for curation (no prizes, though).
