The Ides of March are done. That means that the first quarter of the year is nearly done.
For us, in the southern hemisphere, there's a certain chill and in the north, I gather, that although there've been cold snaps, spring is springing.
Housekeeping
I always begin with a little housekeeping, so why change things now, right?
Our community is not so little any more: 1,021 subscribers with 186 active users. And people think we're old f*rts? Seems our silveriness has some appeal. We now have 31 delegations which amounts to just over 7,800HP. That makes a huge difference to our little account (which is growing) and our capacity to support active members. We're also looking at mechanisms for rewarding delegators for their generous support. We'll update you about this in due course.
In addition, and increasingly, active members are setting the community account (@hive-106316) as a beneficiary when they post in the community. For that:
Blog of the Month - March edition
This month we have had a bumper crop of entries: 18 all told, of which 13 were eligible for prizes. Two fell out because they didn't meet the criteria of either and/or not being posted in the #silver-bom-entries channel in our Discord server, or the link was not dropped in the announcement post.
The quality of this month's contributions raised the bar - again. I know that I (Silver Flower) speak for the entire team, when I say that we were just a little overwhelmed at what this community means to you. It warmed our hearts, made us smile and shed the odd tear.
Before I get to the special mentions, this month we had another first: the entire admin/mod and Founder team found time to add their 2c worth. Please pop over and read their contributions?

Special mentions
As I mentioned, we were spoiled for choice this month with and when the team had each independently picked their posts (as it were), we had one outright winner (you'll have to read on...) and another five - yes - 5 posts from which to choose. And we could only choose two!! Two of the remaining three, we have to mention.
Firstly Silver Butterfly is a silver blogger because because I like the community, but more... - yes, she said a whole lot more. Then there's Silver Streak whom we mention, not just not because is she one of the oldest longest standing members of the community, but her post encapsulates so many of our silvery challenges and why we end up on the blockchain.
Runners up - no second and third this month...
As I said, we were spoiled for choice so we put the list of other winners in the random pick thing:
Similar to Silver Streak, Silver Farm Girl talks about the complicated "retirement" conversations with people from one's past life. She reckons it would have been easier to explain being a silver blogger than...well, you'll have to go and read for yourself.
Our self-confessed Mad Silver Scot croons his way through a shopping list of reasons about why he's a silver blogger and ends with:
I am a Silver Blogger because I care.
Got my vote. I admit.
And the winner is...
The winner this month, hands down, is Silver Dish, who said, among other things:
