I arrived home only yesterday afternoon clutching a few roses that decorated the table I sat at. How could I, alwaysaflower girl not walk out with a rose or two to take home with me? They are sitting in a vase of crystal, a very old beautiful vase belonging to my mother-in-law who passed over in the 1960's, reminding me that time waits for no-one telling me never to waste a moment, to grab each loving happy moment I can.

One's mind is stilled from the roaming thoughts of life and it's troubles as the silence invades the soul. This is true life and one can only wonder about what we are doing to ourselves in our daily chase after our wants and desires. Wants and desires that even if we achieve them all, we will still not be satisfied as we would want more.

As I write the promise of the rains moving away we still sit with drizzle outdoors yesterday afternoon LOL, sun has peeped through a couple of times revealing fantastic sunsets, although we did not see the moon in the last week, the sun greeted briefly once or twice.

And here we have the surprise that was on the island. This is a cygnet, you tell with his feathers, he still has some of the camouflage tan coloured ones, but the easiest way to tell if a mute swan is an adult is by looking at their beak!
