I guess I'll begin this post at the Blue portion of my chosen name, since it is the most obvious and easy to understand. I have kept my hair blue for the past four to five years, and I have two reasons why I do this.
- 1 - The first and lesser reason: Vanity
I have lost some of my fire over the years and I still want to carry a sort of relevance. A way to distinguish myself from others. Plus my eyes are blue and the hair really makes them pop. I have been working in customer service fields for a very long time. I find that the blue hair puts people at ease around me. I am able to resolve problems and have inconsequential, yet important, conversations with customers. There is no offense or defense, just a couple of people working together to come to a mutually satisfying conclusion. I like that feeling.
Would you look at that. That little explanation helps to segue into why the EZ.
I have always been super confident. In my youth it was arrogance but we'll shelf that and any stories about transition for a later date. I learned early in life that I can't handle stress. At All. I have severe anxiety/panic disorder. I was able to use coping stimulus rather than medication to control it for most of my life, although I have lost that ability and am now on meds. I also have tourette syndrome, which in my case manifests as grunts and barks with the occasional yelling of random words and severe tics like my tongue sticking out at random and rubbing my face a lot. I have to control my stress otherwise I have major meltdowns. It is very debilitating if I let it get away from me, so I don't. When things go wrong, which they often do in life, I have conditioned myself to work through every moment so I don't trigger an attack. I don't allow anything to become a situation if I can have control. Truth be told, I have a very good outlook on life. I live for the little things, they are most important to me. I try to create memories with/for the people in my life. I also try to help people to become the best that they can be. It's not real hard to be happy in this life if you just say what has to be said and do what needs to be done. In all things. I'm pretty sure that is the meaning of life: finding happiness and balance.
