Selling and buying property concurrently for sure is not for the faint-hearted!
We met the first deadline in the nick of time, but the next and final one will require nerves of steel!

Dealing with the estate administrator, two different estate agents for the sale and the purchase of the new property, and two difderent conveyancing firms, has required a level head. Something I lack at times, so I had to get a filing system going or else I was going to get myself into a knot! I've never signed so many papers; my head was spinning!
I had to arrange for compliance certificates. All comes at a cost! I was a tad concerned about the electricity distribution board. Thankfully, there wasn't much to do and I got my certificate! The entimology report was issued with a thumbs-up. The pest control technician said how impressed he was with the state of the roof rafters, and went on to say that it's because construction materials and craftsmanship were of a high standard back when our house was built, just over fifty years ago!
You must wonder why I'm sharing quilts with you.
These are the works of a very dear, and very lonely little lady at a retirement village we went to see. Definitely not for me, everyone looked close to 100! This lady took us into her home to see the size and her little garden at the back. Beautiful and spacious inside, but a tiny strip of garden, hardly anywhere to move.
This wonderfully fascinating lady was a quilter who turned part of her garage into a sewing space. She cannot do this artwork anymore because of failing eyesight!
The detail in her work is amazing, and she gave me the go-ahead to take photos of her stunning, intricate work!
On the home front, it's emptying at quite a pace, with furniture and other household goods finding new homes. My staff have been amazing, and have been wrapping, marking boxes, and packing everything except the essentials, which will be done right towards the end.
We're in the middle with these, and will have to repack and seal. I sorted my books, but still have too many, so I'll tackle those tomorrow if nothing comes in the way! More books will go into boxes that will stay behind. The new owners' daughter loves reading and asked that we keep it
I'll give you a little glimpse into the new world I will soon find myself in, if all goes to plan!
The clubhouse is beautiful; so much to see and do, and there are walkways everywhere.
I will tell you more about that once the fat lady has sung!

I'd better not visit the coffee shop too often, or else I will become that fat lady!
My Monday started with this gorgeous sight of the waning moon, and the rising sun turning the sky into glorious colours, as I opened my front door, just before sunrise.
My cellphone camera doesn't do it any justice, but to me it was a promise of a beautiful new chapter in my life!
