Being alone doesn’t mean to be lonely but I make sure to make myself productive everyday and live my life to the fullest. I lost my husband 2 years ago and it was not easy to be alone yet I am thankful to those who are there for me supported me to move on.
My late husband used to be a Senior Citizen President and I used to be a secretary of the association. Since he passed away, I took over the responsibilities as a President. I keep my self-busy to help the old people like me by assisting their papers to receive a pension from the government and burial assistance to those who had passed away. I organized some activities for the elderly such a ballroom dancing activity once a month.
Every first Sunday of the month we have a monthly senior citizen meeting which is lead by me to discuss some important matters with the elderly people such as some updates about new projects for them from the government.
My Grandson lives with me at home and I take care of him since he is young since my daughter, she’s a solo parent I help her taking care of his son. Now my grandson is already in college a scholar and I do not want to live at home alone.
I am thankful that at my age of 65 I am still very healthy and do not get sick because I make sure to live in a healthy lifestyle. Every morning I do Zumba dancing alone at home My friends told me that I still look young at my age and that is because I stay away from stress and live healthy, happy and contented.
I took care of my cats also they seem to be my children that I love them so much. Taking care of my cats gives me happiness. I am glad that I found Hive introduced by my daughter. I love to write when I used to be in my young age. So, I write first in my scratch, I know how to chat then I practice how to write here in Silver Bloggers Community.
I would like to introduce this community to my senior citizen members here in Cagayan De Oro City Philippines. I am just not sure if they can still handle to write but I would like to teach them.
I hope that this my first post finds you interesting and will write more soon and would like to share some videos of my activities,
