We started 2021 with a parkrun on New Years Day which was a Friday at Dubbo and than backed up another 5 kilometre parkrun at Narromine Wetlands parkrun the day after, to top it all off we hiked to the top of Mount Arthur nearby even though the weather had changed to drizzly rain.
The road trip home had three great stops. Number 1 was Sawn Rocks Glacial area, Who knew Australia had a Glacier at some stage, long ago.
Number 2 was Washpool Nation Park we did a 10km run/walk though from a wonderful rain forest.
Number 3 was Fans Horizon walk at the Warrumbungle's Nation Park.
Once back home we were back visiting all the different parkrun we had not done in our local area. It looked like I was being chased at Warner lakes. SS Koopa trail was right on the water at Bribie Island, Maleny Trail was had a bit of old school cross country just like Glass House Mountains Conservation parkrun where we caught up with our mate Mossy!
We did Harries avenue parkrun with our local run club and again with a work mate as well as picking up Calamvale, Ros Gregor and Kelvin Grove.
Victory heights parkrun was a long drive to Gympie but we found plenty of other tourists there as well,
We did another road trip south for the easter break and was hoping to do Forester parkrun but it was cancelled last minute due to heavy rain and flooding. Luckily Casula in Western Sydney was good to go the week after.
We stayed mid week at the Blue mountain and they had plenty of rain as well, which closed a lot of tracks but make the waterfalls great.
We still got a few hikes and lookouts done.
The Three Sister Rock formation and Jamison Valley was pretty specular.
The way home was Woolgoolga and Yamba.
Back home we visited South Toowoomba, Bright Water and Coomera parkruns.
As well as Mount Tamborine, Kingscliff and Redcliffe parkruns.
We did a weekend away to Warrick parkrun for there Winter onesie event as well as hiking Mount Cordeaux and Mount Mitchell at Cunningham's gap.
I got caught checking my watch before the finish line at Paradise point parkrun as well as doing Surfers paradise, golden beach and Bargara parkrun all over the winter months.
It was a big year for us for new parkrun lactations these photos were from Baringa, Mudgeeraba and Ecco Ripley.
Caroline like a shoe shot when she runs in bare feet or sandals.
We volunteered at two junior events as well as a short hike at Binna Burra in the Gold Coast Hinterlands.
Overall another great year to remember.
