Your Activity Matters!

Imagine that you just started a Hive account today. Before you even started blogging or posting anything anywhere here, your reputation score starts out at 25.
You have zero followers. What do you do?
I started on here, before Hive existed, on a platform called Steem / Steemit 7 years ago via a video sharing platform called DTube.
I was introduced to DTube by a fellow YouTuber named @oldguyphotos and he was my first follower on here too.
He was giving me hefty upvotes at a time when Steem was worth US$5 each. Insane times!
But I started here with nothing.
Before the hardfork from Steem into Hive, I had 750 followers. I now have 1011 followers here, so I see it as having gained 261 followers in real terms.
After the hardfork, Justin Sun required that I needed a TRX wallet connected to my Steem wallet just to post content. Yeah, um, nooooo! Sigh.
I cannot remember how much Hive I was gifted to start with 5 years ago, but I have reached over nearly 12,000 HP in that time.
In fact, I am delegating most of it to where I am gaining the most Hive every day, but I digress.
The more I engage with the community, the more likely I am going to get my comments upvoted. This goes for blog posts and uploaded videos to 3Speak.
On the flipside, I have other accounts here on Hive that if I were post a blog, photo or video to they wouldn’t get the same amount of traction.
Why is that?
It’s the reputation and name recognition that come with being not only active but engaging on this platform.
It works with every platform.
If you are just starting out, don’t give up hope.
My little secret tip is to create your own hashtag. Mine is “#pyffac” and it will show up in a Google search. The more I post using that hashtag, the easier it is for Google to find it.
My activity actitivy matters!
Therefore, your activity matters too!

Thank you for reading.
Have a great day.

All content, including photos and text, are produced by myself except where indicated otherwise and sources are always supplied. I do not use A.I. so your upvotes support a genuine human being that produces original material.
