Weight memories 🤭
A few days ago I walked into a pharmacy and there was an antique weight machine. I remembered that at some point in my childhood I got to use it, it was so tiny. They have it as a decorative object at the entrance, since it is useless and no one is going to ride a weight like that when nowadays, there are models that measure your blood pressure, muscle mass and the amount of fat in your body.
I remember that it was a lot of fun to place the coin and wait for the number of how much you were weighing, looking at this machine from the past it has several slots with the initials of the months of the year where you had to insert the coin according to the month of birth to be told the weight and a prediction of the future.
¡Where did they get the idea of combining the weight with the desire to know the future! Maybe the creator took advantage of the uncertainty of wanting to know both things; in any case, one of the two things would be right: the person's weight or his future? Which do you think?
I know that this was the function of this machine because of the messages inscribed on the side in Spanish that says: your weight and your luck; on the front it is written that it will give the indications of your character, that is to say that it will tell you how you behave according to your character and it will tell you your future, and on the upper part where the coin is inserted there is a clear message that says that if you place 10 bolivars you will receive good fortune, I imagine that it refers to fortune telling.
This weight only supported 130 kilos or 300 pounds, I don't know how much the current weights support, but I imagine about 200 kilos, since I have seen how people are gaining weight, without going too far, my mom weighs 90 kilos and I weigh 70, being small of 155. Cm 🥲.
I felt like getting on and taking pictures of myself at the weight, but I was embarrassed and I didn't want to be scolded either, I already have enough gray hair to do those shenanigans. 🤭😆🤣 Do you recognize this weight?

Hace unos días entré en una farmacia y había una máquina de peso antigua. Recordé que en algún momento de mi infancia la llegué a usar, estaba muy pequeñita. La tienen como un objeto decorativo en la entrada, ya que no sirve y nadie se va a montar en una pesa como esa cuando ahorita, existen modelos que te miden la presión arterial, la masa muscular y la cantidad de grasa en tu cuerpo.
Me acuerdo de que era muy divertido colocar la moneda y esperar qué saliera el número de cuanto estabas pesando, observando esta máquina del pasado tiene varias ranuras con las iniciales de los meses del año en donde se tenía que introducir la moneda según el mes de nacimiento para que te dijeran el peso y una predicción de futuro.
¡De dónde habrán sacado esa idea de unir el peso a las ganas de saber del futuro! Tal vez el creador se aprovechó de la incertidumbre de querer saber ambas cosas; de todas formas, alguna de las dos cosas acertaría: ¿el peso de la persona o su futuro? ¿Cuál crees tú?
Sé que esa era la función de esta máquina por los mensajes que tienen inscritos en el aparte lateral en español que dice: su peso y su suerte; de frente está escrito que dará las indicaciones de su carácter, es decir que te dirá como te comportas según tu carácter y te dirá tu porvenir, y en la parte superior donde se inserta la moneda hay un mensaje claro que dicen que si se coloca 10 bolívares recibirá la buenaventura, me imagino que hace referencia a la adivinación.
Este peso solo soportaba 130 kilos o 300 libras, no sé cuánto soportan los pesos actuales, pero me imagino que unos 200 kilos, ya que he visto cómo la gente está aumentando de peso, sin ir muy lejos, mi mamá pesa 90 kilos y yo 70, siendo pequeña de 155. Cm 🥲.
Tuve que ganas de subirme y sacarme fotos en el peso, pero me dio vergüenza y tampoco quería que me regañaran, ya tengo suficientes canas para hacer esas travesuras. 🤭😆🤣. ¿Reconoces este peso?
