What is Passive Income?
Passive Income to me is any income that you receive on a regular basis. It doesn’t matter if it’s daily, weekly, or monthly, just that you receive it regularly. Passive income is usually a result of work done in the past but is not limited to work. You may receive passive income as a result of other tasks and/or activities you have done or are doing. Even being on Hive is a form of passive income.
My Passive Income
I earn most of my passive income on Hive. For me it’s more about earning & holding the income for growth. In later years I see it as a form of income I’ll be able to withdraw from and still continue to grow it. In addition to Hive I have various apps that I use that actually earns me passive income. This income helps me in my life now. It’s not as large an income as I one day hope for but it helps me get through right now.
Let’s talk about these apps;
I have several receipt apps where I scan my receipts and earn points which turn into cash by way of gift cards. Visa, Amazon, PayPal, Walmart, Google Pay, Apple Pay, just to name a few. These cards come in handy when I want to make purchases. I don’t have to use my money to obtain things I want or sometimes they help me to pay for those things. I also have apps that I take mini surveys (usually about my activities or where I've been) & they pay me. I have an app that just sits on my phone (well yes there is a reason) & I take a survey about every couple of months, about my service provider, & they pay me.
These payments may seem small but they add up & I have a way to expand the household income. I'll share a few links below for anyone interested. Every cent counts!
Let’s talk about Hive:
On Hive I hold various tokens from income tokens to miners to rewards tokens. When some of these tokens are staked, they earn you more tokens & some of them you earn just for holding the token in your wallet. Sometimes you earn more of the token you're holding and some of them you earn other tokens.
I hold tokens like #Index, #Dhedge, #BRO, #Legion, #COM, #List. These are just a few of the tokens I hold and earn daily from them. There are others, & when I think about it, I’m sure there are some I don’t yet hold but would like to. I also delegate to many tokens which then pays me in #Hive, #HBD, & #SwapHive. Hive is a great way to earn a passive income!
Other activities that interest me to generate passive income in the future?
- I like to do Jigsaw puzzles & have often thought about framing & selling them.
- I also like to sew and have many ideas for items I can create & sell.
- I have thought about for years, writing a few books.
I really just need to take the time & do these things.
With all the things I’m capable of doing, I just need to jump in, as they all could produce a nice passive income.
