The Adventures of Freddy The Flea Pt 4

Previously on Freddy The Flea:

Freddy and Fria had been walking about The Abyss for quite some time. Freddy became irritable and the two of them got into an argument. During the argument, a mouse arrived. Freddy, having never seen anything other than Hair & Honey’s rear and back (the dog that was their previous host), stood in shock. Fria immediately realized the opportunity and attempted to snap Freddy out of his zombie-like state so that they could seize the opportunity to jump on board.

Part 4

Fria decided there was only one way to get me focused. It was a trick she’d used on some wilder, less educated Fleas, which had worked like a charm. When Fleas are hungry enough, they will go to any length to get some food. She’d open the flask of blood, wave it around in front of them, and the Fleas would simply go bananas over it.

As Fria pulled the flask from her waist, she waved it in front of my eyes.

“Oh Freddy, look what I have here,” she said, as she unscrewed the top of the cylinder.

As soon as that sweet ‘honey’ smell hit my nose, my pupils completely dilated. My mouth hung open and my tongue constantly dangled and licked as the drool kept pouring out the sides of my mouth.

What Fria did next was unimaginable!

“You want it, Freddy?’

“Yes, yes” I said, panting as I did.

“Then, go fetch it!” Fria yelled, flinging the cylinder towards the mouse.

Without realizing what I was doing, my eyes followed the cylinder. It all seemed to be happening in slow motion as I watched it flying toward the mouse. I jumped as high as I could, and as the cylinder seemed to vanish in between the mouse’s hair, a terrible feeling of despair overcame me.

I managed to land on the mouse, and the smell of the ‘honey’ was close by. I started sniffing around and quickly managed to get to it. I fell flat on my back as a sense of relief overcame me and started sucking down on the ‘honey.’

“Oh my gosh, this tastes so good!”

I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced such a sensation of elation and relief in my life! Then I heard a familiar chuckling voice. It was a similar chuckle that I had heard in The Abyss earlier. It was Fria. That was when I realized what just happened.

“You, you, Fria! What did you do to me?”

Fria was still chuckling, but she quickly regained her composure.

“Uhm” Fria cleared her throat. “Well, I wonder who’s the know it all now, Freddy Flea,” Fria said, looking at me with an almost imperceptible smirk on her face.

I sat and looked at her, realizing she was far smarter than I gave her credit for. Then, I started laughing uncontrollably. Soon, Fria also started laughing. Whether it was the contagiousness thereof, or not, we laughed and laughed until our bellies started aching.

“So, tell me, Fria Flea, what happens next?” I asked.

“You know what you’re sitting on right now, Freddy?” she asked and replied before I could answer.

“You’re sitting on a host, so dig in!”

Before I could even respond, Fria had already plunged her teeth into the mouse, and I could hear the sucking noises and the softest of sighs as she filled herself up with food. I wasn’t one to wait around and quickly followed suit.

‘Ahhh, oh how I missed the warmth and comfort of a host.’
