The bluish-yellow macaw (Ara ararauna), also known as the blue-and-yellow macaw, yellow parrot or blue-and-yellow macaw, is a species of psittaciform bird from the parrot family native to South America. Its distribution area includes from Panama to the northeast of ArArgentina, passing through the entire Amazon basin. In Costa Rica, it is extinct in the wild, making it no longer part of the natural fauna. In captivity they reproduce easily; In the wild they live in groups of twenty-five to thirty individuals. This parrot is the unmistakable representative of the macaws, parrots with powerful beaks and very long tails.
El guacamayo amarillo azulado (Ara ararauna), también conocido como guacamayo azul y amarillo, papagayo amarillo o paraba azul aamarillo es una especie de ave psittaciforme de la familia de los loros propia de América del Sur. Su área de distribución comprende desde Panamá hasta el noreste de Argentina, pasando por toda la cuenca amazónica. En Costa Rica extinta en libertad haciendo que ya no forme parte de la fauna natural. En cautividad se reproducen fácilmente; en libertad viven en grupos de veinticinco a treinta ejemplares. Este loro es el representante inconfundible de los guacamayos, loros con poderosos picos y colas muy largas.
