Every week @nelinoeva hosts a fun contest in the Feathered Friends Community. This week's theme is BLURB.
A blurb is a bird that only exists in the land of photography. In real life, the bird being photographed is probably majestic, cute, beautiful, unusual, ugly, or simply doing something cool that would make you want to get a photo. But in the process of capturing the image, something goes terribly wrong, and you end up with a blurb.
Take this rainbow trout, for example. He looks to be enthusiastically swimming through the woods, probably in search of his next meal. You'd never have guessed that he was a red-tailed hawk up until the moment my camera got ahold of him.
And how about these scrub jays?
Pretty sure this one has four legs...
Here is my attempt to capture a swift in flight.
Wait--was it a swift or a pollywog?
And, yes, there are many crows. Here's Bo. I'm actually quite fond of this one.
Here's Bo again, being jealous of me trying to take a picture of his lovely Lorena.
This one looks like somebody drew a picture of a drunk bird while drunk.
I will let this final failed AF* image speak for itself:
*That stands for auto focus, of course. We're family-friendly, here!
Thanks for checking out my entry to the #smap contest! You can use the link at the beginning of the post to see the rules if you want to enter. It ends Sunday, so you still have time to run out and take some wonderfully terrible photos.
