This little birdie was playing hide and seek with me for a while before I did manage to spot him. Tiny little fella with tons of energy and a voice I did not recognize, so I didn't even know what I was looking for.
There were plenty of great tits and sparrows around too, but the two I do know very well, also by the sound. This one I am less familiar with even though it is a pretty common bird in Poland (and Europe in general).
Until I finally saw him!
A cute Robin was staring at me from between the branches.
He found this little window in a big tree. Last lays of autumn sun and a good view on the human that tried to take a few photos.
All the red berries around were a great distraction and made it harder for me to see him.
They are from Hawthorn tree, but there are always Rosehips in lower parts. All mixed up together.
Then he moved to a little higher spot. Probably easier to escape in case of danger (aka me trying to get closer).
See the lovely red mess?
It was early fall and the leaves were just starting to change colour. Later it will be just sticks and red berries.
This time there must have been something more interesting to look at on the other side as he didn't pay any attention to me.
He changed the spot one more time to the next tree. I didn't have to more to keeps seeing him. He would just fly away straight away.
And again he peaked here and there...
...then turned his butt at me..
...the last glance at the nosy Human and off he went.
For good this time.
