River shores and Lake shores are places where a lot of birds gather to look for food and I like to visit places like these to get some great shots of different birds. One of these birds that can be found at the shore is the bar tailed godwit. It has a very long beak and is one of the bigger water birds you can find here in Austria. I usually only find this bird at Lake Neusiedler but during the Migration time they can also be found on several other spots Like the Inn River or at the Danube. Shores and Puddles of mud are a great place for birds like this to hunt and find their prey.

In the right environment this birds have a very good camouflage and cannot be spotted so easy. Sometimes they visit places like this where they are not so well camouflaged and then you can find and take pictures of them more easily.
