At the wetlands of the Inn River I was able to take several pictures of the eurasian Wren that lived there near a house at the bycicle trail. I was happy when I saw this little bird jumping around the fence. In German the Eurasian Wren is called "Zaunkönig" that means "king of the fence" if you would translate it by the meaning of the combined words, and now I know why it is called like that. The Eurasian Wren is one of the smallest birds that live here, and it has a typical characteristic of pointing up it's tail feathers. When you hear it singing you would not believe that such a small bird could sing so loud.

I am already looking forward to next spring and hope I can find them again. I still know the spot where I took these picture and I am sure I will visit this spot again and maybe it will be there too. A lot of birds are teritorial so if you find a spot where they live it is possible to find them at exactly the same spot again on the other day. This doesn't count for all birds.
