A photography friend (Yiri), was able to take the first pictures of this Bird this year about a week ago. That's why Stefan and I decided to visit the spot where we know they usually live and look for food, and we were really lucky today because the birds only stayed for minutes before they headed to another place. But these minutes were precious for us, and I was able to take several nice pictures and a short video of these cute birds.
Since they still were a bit shy today I had to crop the pictures a lot. In combination with the missing light it was quite a challenging situation.
The cute little ringed Plovers are finally back. Picture: Florian Glechner.

I am so happy that more and more birds return from their winter home. The next two months will be the most exiting time for bird photography this year and I hope I can take a lot of interesting pictures of birds. But this also depends a bit on the COVID Situation and the places I am allowed to visit depending on the regulations that are in place here in Austria.
On the gravel bars of the Danube they look for small insects and other food they can find there. Picture: Florian Glechner.

They are still a bit shy, so it is a bit difficult to get close without them flying away. Picture: Florian Glechner.
