Treecreepers are some birds that have a very good camouflage color and they are difficult to spot because of this fact. I am very happy that I saw this treecreeper two years ago and that I could take several pictures of it. The tree creeper is probably not a seldom bird but because of its camouflage color it is difficult to find and take pictures of it. But when you know where to look and are patient enough it is possible to get some nice pictures of this bird. It is usually flying to the ground of a tree and creeps up the bark of the tree from the bottom to the top.
Tree Creepers are actually very common birds; they’re just hard to spot. Movement gives them away – look for them on tree trunks climbing upwards. Treecreepers are usually loners but in winter they often join wandering groups of long-tailed tits on the lookout for likely food sources. Treecreepers can’t head downwards; their toes aren’t designed for this, so they head upwards, then fly to the bottom of the tree trunk again and start again. Like woodpeckers, they support themselves with their stiff tail feathers. Their tailfeathers help them maintain their balance on a tree trunk.
A small bird, well camouflaged on the bark of tree trunks with its brown back streaked with black and white markings. Underparts white, particularly throat and chest. Distinctive longish curved beak - this is probably the best sentence that describes the bird perfectly.
