Hello! Today I would like to show you my new drawing I finished today of a bird!
One of my weaknesses in art are birds. So yesterday I found this page in a little but very interesting book. Their company is called "Muy interesante junior" (In English, Very interesting junior). This book I have is actually about camping, but it is filled with many other things like origami, cooking recipes, jokes, how to improve your art, make bracelets, magic and so much more!
My drawing
This drawing took me at least 2 hours yesterday, because it was very complicated to find where all of the lines should be. Plus, I had to look back and forth from the book and the piece of paper. Yes, I did get lost a couple times, but then I got it. I hope it still looks ok...
My process:
First I drew everything with my pencil and eraser.
Then, I colored everything and when I was done doing that, I had a little lunch break.
I did the final touch today, I drew all of the lines again so you can see them better. The book told me I can use a black marker, but I didn't really want the lines to look thicker. I just wanted them a bit darker, so I just used my professional art pencils. There are a bunch of pencils inside from light pencils to dark pencils. I used one that was a bit darker.
What do you think about this way to practice drawing? I think this kind of art is called "Cubism". I want to learn more about different types of art, but if it isn't Cubism please feel free to correct me in the comments below... 😁
