The peacock is a bird of the pheasant family, its Latin name is Pavo Cristatus. The males are much more colorful and beautiful than the females. They reach 125 cm and their tail is 2 meters long. They reach up to 6 kilograms in weight
Peacocks are distributed throughout the Indian subcontinent, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other places in Asia. Their average life expectancy is about 20 years. In Buddhism, the peacock is a symbol of compassion and vigilance.
