The normal posts have only one peacock parading, but here I will show you a few.
So the young ones watched the adult males and here they were trying to copy the males.
We saw the struggle of the sun to get through the clouds in the distance and headed for the mountains, as I knew that some lovely scenes would be available. But as we entered the one wine farm, an unexpected show by the young peacocks was presented to us.
So come and see the young guys in action.
Did I tell you that the sun was in a battle with the clouds?
You will see here that they do not yet have the full colors in their tails, but nothing wrong with their cute attempts.
An adult was keeping an eye on the youngsters and I have posted him in a full flare before.
And finally the guinea fowl crew was busy cleaning in the pear orchard.
They say that practice makes perfect and soon we will have many male peacocks here strutting their stuff. Did you know that peacocks can play tunes with their tails when they do a display to attract the females ?
The feathers move as standing waves like the strings of a guitar. The feather barbs in the eye spots are locked together with tiny hooks, much like those in flight feathers, while the rest hang free and loose. The result is a mesmerizing effect in which the iridescent eyespots appear to hover motionless against the blurred background. Much of the sound that is produced from a peacock rattling its tail, is pitched too low for human ears to hear, though peahens and rivals can sense and respond to the noise.

So I was wondering why their tails were vibrating during their displays, but now I know and hopefully so do you.
And That's All Friends.
