Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is on Feathered Friends. The topic of today's post is birds with fun. For which I have presented photographs of OWL in today's post. The funny thing about this bird is that it sleeps during the day and roams in search of food at night. Today I will talk about the OWL bird. I have many photographs for the contest here and I have presented the first photographs. By the way, if I talk, my post today was prepared for the contest last week. But since its topic is birds with water, I postponed it. Which I am presenting to participate in this time's contest. I hope that my post and photographs of OWL will be eligible for the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 225 which is being run by @nelinoeva .
There are many similarities between the first and second photographs above. But they are two different frames captured at different times. Now I will find and talk to you about the OWL bird here. Owls are one of the most peaceful and intelligent birds. In the photographs here, one of the most peaceful and beautiful scenes seen in nature, an owl can be seen sleeping on a tree branch. During the day, when most of the birds are flying. And chirping. Then at this time, owls rest. Due to which owls are kept in the category of nocturnal birds. Which means that they stay awake at night and sleep during the day.
Owls look very beautiful while sleeping. Their soft feathers are puffed up. If you look carefully at the photographs above, you will realize that their head sticks to their body while sleeping. Some owls even sleep standing on one leg. But I did not get a chance to capture that scene. The round body and calm face of the owl give them a sweet and gentle look.
As can be seen in the photograph above, the dry branches of this tree also add to the peaceful picture. Whenever the sunlight passes through the dry branches of the tree and falls gently on the feathers of the owl. This scene looks like a dream. Even though the owl is resting, it remains alert in some ways even during its rest. If there is a sudden loud noise, this bird may open one eye or turn its head a little. Not a little, but this bird can turn its whole head.
Owls have found a place among the birds with large and round heads and large eyes. The eyes of the owl are facing forward. Which can be seen in the photographs above. While most birds have eyes on the sides of their heads, which also makes the owl different from other birds. This structure of their eyes helps them see very well in the dark. Owls also have a strong and curved beak and sharp claws called talons. These beaks and claws help them catch and eat small animals like mice, frogs, and insects.
As I mentioned above, owls eat mice and insects which are very important for the environment and its balance. They help in controlling the population of mice and insects. Which can damage the crops. By eating these insects, owls help farmers and maintain the balance of nature. Owls are amazing birds which play a big role in nature.
We should respect and protect these beautiful birds so that future generations can also enjoy seeing them and being with them. We should enjoy such moments in nature. With this, I will end my post here.
I hope that my post will accept the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 225.
I sincerely thank you for visiting and reading my post.
