Recently I bought myself a zoom lens for my camera. This allows me to get some shots of birds and other animals that tend to keep far away. I took my camera out and got some pictures of what I saw for the day. Mostly crows but I also spotted some ducks on the pond. The crows made for better photo subjects, being bigger and closer. But the ducks were still cool seeing, and will do my best to get some better pictures of them.

This crow was just hanging out on the ponds edge drinking water or maybe just finished taking a bath.
One flew by and I got a picture of it as it was flapping its wings.
The crow on the edge of the pond took off and headed over to a feed pile.
I got a few shots before it got far away.
It is cool to see them up close like this.
Got these pictures maybe 50 feet away, most are pretty far out.. at least 100 feet.
Looks like this one has some white feathers in with its black plumage.
Many crows came down to feed on a pile of seed I put out. I need to put some closer next time.
Some ducks were hanging out on the pond as well.
Guessing they are a mating pair.
It was really hard to get good pictures of them, they would not get much closer and being so small it was hard to get a good shot of them.
Next time they get close I will bring out my tripod and see if they come out better.
At some point they took a nap out on the water, tucking their heads into their plumage.
Later on they got a little closer but still pretty far out even for my zoom lens.
It was cool to see the crows and ducks. I will get some more pictures of the wild life around me now that I have a zoom lens for my camera.
