It has been over a week now with our new visitor, a feral male peacock. When it showed up it was calling out every few minutes looking for a mate. It also had a large collection of tail feathers. Well things have changed in that aspect, now it no longer calls out and it dropped all of its long tail feathers.
Seems its more interested in eating and chilling than mating at this point. Its usual routine is come down from the tree at sunrise, walk around for a few minutes to an hour. Then go over to its favorite shade tree and chill under there until sunset. Then it makes the long walk back to its roosting tree.
It is hard to see in these few pictures, I was going to get my nice zoom camera for these shots but it started drizzling, so I did not want to risk damaging my nice DSLR.
Soon the sun will set and it will return to its roost, high up in that lopsided pine tree. There used to a tree next to it, so that is why it has that weird shape.. lol Well the peacock loves it and sleeps there every night on the one of two branches that stick out to the left side.
