In my opinion, this update marks a turning point for copper, as it completely changes it and significantly improves this mineral that had been somewhat forgotten.
The Copper Golem is back
The update brings back the loser of the 2021 Minecraft Live vote: the Copper Golem. Mojang decided to include it, giving this popular mob a second chance.
Creation
To summon this adorable mob, simply place a copper block and, on top of it, the popular carved pumpkin used to summon golems. The oxidation level of the block does not matter to summon it. In addition, if the golem rusts over time, as a copper block does, you can wax it with honeycomb to maintain that rusted state or de-rust it with an axe.
Fun facts

- If the golem dies, it will drop between 1 and 3 copper ingots.
An interesting feature is that if lightning strikes it, this copper golem will be deoxidized, which is a very interesting mechanic.
When night falls or it is in a dimly lit area, these creatures' eyes will glow, making them easy to find quickly.
When the copper golem reaches its final stage, it lasts for a few seconds until it turns into a statue, which can be deoxidized with axes and its pose changed. If you don't want your copper golem to be a statue, it's important to wax it with honeycomb.
Functionality of the new copper chest
To understand how the new mob works, it is important to first look at how the new copper chests work, as the golem and the chest work together.
These chests can be obtained in two ways. The first is by crafting them, surrounding a chest with copper ingots. This chest will always appear in its first stage of rusting, so if you want it in another state, you will have to wait for it to rust to the level you want.
The other way is by summoning the copper golem. When you spawn it, this new chest automatically appears on top of it.
These chests can be double, and their storage capacity is exactly the same as a normal chest.
They can also be waxed with honeycomb or deoxidized with axes, just like many copper blocks.
Copper golem functionality
The golem and the copper chest work together. If you place items in a golem's copper chest and there is a wooden chest nearby, the golem will deposit all those items in the wooden chest. But be careful, this golem will only move items that already exist in the wooden chest. Let me explain with an example:
Imagine we have two chests, one made of copper and the other made of wood.
The copper chest contains a diamond and a log.
The wooden chest contains another diamond and an iron ingot.
When you summon the golem, it will check the copper chest, see the diamond, and take it to the wooden chest. However, when it sees that there is no log in the wooden chest, it will not deposit it, unless that same item already exists in the wooden chest.
We can also mention that they will search for the nearest chest within a radius of 32 blocks from the copper chest. It is important to note that the copper golem does not grab full stacks, it only grabs a stack of 16 items to deposit in the chest. For obvious reasons, you can speed up the process by using more golems.
Thanks to this little guy, it can make it easier for you to organize your chests if you don't have time.
Copper tools
In the new update, there will be tools that are crafted with copper ingots. They are better than stone tools but worse than iron tools, being somewhere in between.
In terms of damage, copper and stone tools are the same; what changes is their durability and efficiency, where copper stands out.
The copper pickaxe, for the moment, can break minerals such as:

Lapis lazuli
Copper
Copper armor
Copper armor, in terms of durability, is better than leather and worse than gold.
Leather armor: 3.4 points
Copper armor: 5 points
Gold armor: 5.5 points
In terms of durability, copper armor is superior to leather and gold armor, and inferior to chain mail and other types of armor.
They also implemented new copper nuggets, which can be obtained by smelting armor or placing a copper ingot on the crafting table. They work exactly the same as iron or gold nuggets.
Copper armor for horses

En mi opinión, esta actualización marca un antes y un después para el cobre, ya que lo cambia por completo y mejora significativamente este mineral que estaba un poco olvidado.
El Golem de Cobre está de vuelta
La actualización nos trae de vuelta al perdedor de la votación de la Minecraft Live de 2021: el golem de cobre. Mojang decidió incluirlo, dándole una segunda oportunidad a este popular mob.
Creación
Para invocar a este adorable mob, solo tienes que colocar un bloque de cobre y, encima, la popular calabaza tallada que se usa para invocar golems. No importa el nivel de oxidación del bloque para invocarlo. Además, si el golem se oxida con el paso del tiempo, como lo hace un bloque de cobre, puedes encerarlo con panal de miel para que mantenga ese estado de oxidación o desoxidarlo con un hacha.
Curiosidades

- Estos pequeños tienen la particularidad de tener solo 6 corazones.
- Si el golem llega a morir, dropeará entre 1 y 3 lingotes de cobre.
Una característica interesante es que si le cae un rayo, este golem de cobre se desoxidará, lo cual es una mecánica muy interesante.
Cuando anochece o se encuentra en una zona con poca luz, los ojos de estas criaturas brillarán, facilitando encontrarlos rápidamente.
*Cuando el golem de cobre llega a su última fase, dura unos pocos segundos hasta que se transforma en una estatua, que se puede desoxidar con las hachas y cambiar su pose. Si no quieres que tu golem de cobre sea una estatua, es importante encerarlo con panal de miel.
Funcionalidad del nuevo cofre de cobre
Para entender cómo funciona el nuevo mob, es importante que primero veamos cómo funcionan los nuevos cofres de cobre, ya que el golem y el cofre trabajan juntos.
Estos cofres se pueden conseguir de dos maneras. La primera es crafteándolos, rodeando un cofre con lingotes de cobre. Este cofre siempre saldrá en su primera fase de oxidación, así que si lo quieres en otro estado, tendrás que esperar a que se oxide al nivel que desees.
La otra forma es invocando al golem de cobre. Cuando lo generas, este nuevo cofre aparece automáticamente encima de él.
Estos cofres pueden ser dobles, y su capacidad de almacenamiento es exactamente igual a la de un cofre normal.
También se pueden encerar con panal de miel o desoxidar con hachas, al igual que muchos bloques de cobre.
Funcionalidad del golem de cobre
El golem y el cofre de cobre trabajan juntos. Si pones ítems en el cofre de cobre de un golem y hay un cofre de madera cercano, el golem depositará todos esos ítems en el cofre de madera. Pero atención, este golem solo moverá los ítems que ya existan en el cofre de madera. Permítanme explicarlo con un ejemplo:
Imaginemos que tenemos dos cofres, uno de cobre y otro de madera.
El cofre de cobre tiene un diamante y un tronco de madera.
El cofre de madera tiene otro diamante y un lingote de hierro.
Cuando invoques al golem, este revisará el cofre de cobre, verá el diamante y lo llevará al cofre de madera. Sin embargo, al ver que en el cofre de madera no hay ningún tronco, no lo depositará, a menos que ya exista ese mismo ítem en el cofre de madera.
También podemos mencionar que buscarán el cofre más cercano en un radio de 32 bloques del cofre de cobre. Es importante recalcar que el golem de cobre no agarra stacks completos, solo agarra una pila de 16 ítems para depositarlos en el cofre. Por obvias razones, puedes acelerar el proceso usando más golems.
Gracias a este pequeño, te puede facilitar la tarea de organizar tus cofres si no tienes tiempo.
Herramientas de Cobre
En la nueva actualización, habrá herramientas que se craftean con lingotes de cobre. Son mejores que las herramientas de piedra, pero peores que las de hierro, siendo un punto intermedio.
En cuanto a daño, las herramientas de cobre y piedra son iguales; lo que cambia es su durabilidad y su eficiencia, en las que el cobre se destaca.
El pico de cobre, por el momento, puede romper minerales como:
Piedra
Carbón
Hierro
Lapislázuli
Cobre
Armadura de cobre
La armadura de cobre, en cuanto a durabilidad, es mejor que la de cuero y peor que la de oro.
Armadura de cuero: 3,4 puntos
Armadura de cobre: 5 puntos
Armadura de oro: 5,5 puntos
En cuanto a durabilidad, la de cobre es superior a la de cuero y la de oro, e inferior a la de cota de malla y el resto de armaduras.
También implementaron las nuevas pepitas de cobre, que se pueden conseguir fundiendo armaduras o colocando un lingote de cobre en la mesa de crafteo. Funcionan exactamente igual que una pepita de hierro u oro.
Armaduras de cobre para caballos
Estas son las nuevas armaduras de caballo. Al igual que las otras, no tienen un crafteo y se encontrarán en las siguientes estructuras con estos porcentajes:
5,7% en Herrerías
4,6% en Fortalezas del End
19% en Fortalezas del Nether
21,5% en Spawners
18% en Templos del desierto
4,5% en Templos de la jungla
2,5% en las Strongholds
En cuanto a puntos, es superior a la de cuero e inferior a la de hierro:
Armadura para caballos de cuero: +3
Armadura para caballos de cobre: +4
Armadura para caballos de hierro: +5
En mi opinión, estas implementaciones son muy interesantes. Estas armaduras y herramientas marcarán un antes y un después al comienzo de la aventura, ya que el cobre se encuentra por todas partes, y su durabilidad, daño y eficiencia son muy decentes. Felíz día, tarde o noche y un saludo!
