Aqui vamos con otro post especial alejado de mi programacion habitual, resulata que en el programa de Ready Player Hive nos pidieron hacer una publicacion hablando de nuestros generos de videojuegos favoritos, de hecho cada tantas semanas lanzan estos retos para poder tematizar el programa genial que tienen, y como no, yo tambien tenia que participar.

A lo largo de mi vida jugando videojuegos creo que puedo hacer memoria de mas de una veintena de generos que he podido disfrutar, el tema con los generos de juegos hoy en dia es que muchos titulos tienden a mezclar una gran variedad de estos para hacer una experiencia mas diversa, aun asi aqui voy a desglosar un poco los generos puntuales que mas he disfrutado con el paso de los años, esta es mi opinion asi que te invito a que dejes la tuya en los comentarios, me gustaria saber sus razones de por que sus juegos favoritos son sus juegos favoritos, y otra vez gracias por visitar.

Sigilo

Inicialmente el genero de sigilo era de esos que una vez tenia un juego de estos solo iba disparando por todo el nivel o matando a todo el que se me atravesara, no fue un genero al que apreciara demasiado hasta que jugue Dishonored y Hitman Absolution, ambos los jugue casi al mismo tiempo y me sorprendio lo satisfactorio que era juar pacientemente y pasarse los niveles sin que ningun enemigo nos notase ni tuviesemos que disparar una sola bala.

Creo que son especialmente de mi agrado esos juegos de sigilo que tienen mundos abiertos en cada una de sus misiones, que nos permiten realizar todos los objetivos de formas distintas y de cierta forma "a nuestra manera", creo que uno de mis ejemplos favoritos es Hitman Absolution en el cual tenemos varios niveles con objetivos de asesinato en ellos y que podemos cumplir de una infinidad de formas, de verdad me he quedado horas explorando las diferentes formas de completar los niveles y desde entonces se ha convertido en uno de mis juegos favoritos y en este genero de mis mas jugados.

Shooters en Tercera Persona

De los primeros generos que jugue siendo un niño, me encantaba ver las guerras que se hacian en juegos como Star Wars: Battlefront 2 o los tiroteos de Uncharted, creo que me gustaba ver el personaje desde una distancia y no ser el personaje como pasa en los shooters de primera persona, siento tambien que los videojuegos de este genero tienden a tener un mejor enfoque en su historia, te veo a ti The Last Of Us que aunque tecnicamente es un survival horror aplicare la de que muchos videojuegos actuales tienden a combinar generos para abarcar una mayor audiencia.

Pero si, si quieren jugar algo de lo que yo jugaba creo que Battlefront 2, hecho por Pandemic Studios es lo que yo consideraria un shooter en tercera persona perfecto, muy buena representacion de la saga ademas de muy buenas batallas en multiples escenarios, se los recomiendo para algun momento.

Conduccion

Y para lo ultimo, pero no menos importante, tenemos un genero que me inicio practicamente en el videojuego y aunque a dia de hoy no lo juego demasiado creo que en su tiempo le dedique meses a completar juegos como Need For Speed: Most Wanted o Burnout: Revenge, creo que algunos de los mejores juegos que he jugado en general y aunque el genero ha cambiado un monton desde entonces sigo teniendole cariño a esos titulos de antaño, toda la velocidad, la adrenalina de las carreras ademas de ese toque de rol que muchas veces mi yo de niño le daba a estos juegos.

Esta un poco complicado completar esta lista, la mayoria de los juegos que recuerdo tienen una combinacion de varios generos y eso es lo que veo hoy en dia, ningun juego es de un genero sino que hace uso de varios de estos para mejorar su experiencia y apelar a mas audiencia, de todas formas ahi les dejo una pequeña lista con mis pensamientos.

Here we go with another special post away from my usual programming, it turns out that in the program of Ready Player Hive they asked us to make a post talking about our favorite video game genres, in fact every so many weeks they launch these challenges to theme the great program they have, and of course, I also had to participate.

Throughout my life playing video games I think I can remember more than a score of genres that I have enjoyed, the thing with game genres nowadays is that many titles tend to mix a variety of them to make a more diverse experience, even so here I will break down a bit the specific genres that I have enjoyed the most over the years, this is my opinion so I invite you to leave yours in the comments, I would like to know your reasons why your favorite games are your favorite games, and again thanks for visiting.

Stealth

Initially the stealth genre was one of those that once I had a stealth game I was just shooting all over the level or killing anyone that got in my way, it wasn't a genre I appreciated too much until I played Dishonored and Hitman Absolution, I played them both at about the same time and was surprised at how satisfying it was to patiently play through the levels without any enemies noticing us or having to fire a single bullet.

I think I especially like those stealth games that have open worlds in each of their missions, that allow us to accomplish all the objectives in different ways and in a certain way "our way", I think one of my favourite examples is Hitman Absolution in which we have several levels with assassination objectives in them and that we can accomplish in an infinite number of ways, I have really stayed hours exploring the different ways to complete the levels and since then it has become one of my favourite games and in this genre one of my most played.

Third Person Shooters

One of the first genres I played as a kid, I loved watching the wars that were made in games like Star Wars: Battlefront 2 or the Uncharted shootouts, I think I liked seeing the character from a distance and not being the character as happens in first person shooters, I also feel that video games of this genre tend to have a better focus on their story, I see you The Last Of Us which although technically is a survival horror I will apply the one that many current video games tend to combine genres to encompass a wider audience.

But yes, if you want to play some of what I played I think Battlefront 2, made by Pandemic Studios is what I would consider a perfect third person shooter, very good representation of the saga plus very good battles in multiple scenarios, I recommend it for some time.

Driving

Last but not least, we have a genre that started me practically in the video game and although today I do not play it too much I think that in his time I spent months to complete games like Need For Speed: Most Wanted or Burnout: Revenge, I think some of the best games I've played in general and although the genre has changed a lot since then I still have a fondness for those titles of yesteryear, all the speed, the adrenaline of racing plus that touch of role playing that my childhood self often gave to these games.

It's a bit complicated to complete this list, most of the games I remember have a combination of several genres and that's what I see today, no game is a single genre but makes use of several of these to enhance your experience and appeal to more audience, anyway here I leave a short list with my thoughts.
