I’ve been away from shooters for a while, but all the buzz from EA about the new Battlefield 6 has definitely grabbed my attention, especially the open beta coming out this weekend. I was never a frequent player of the franchise because the more recent games that caught my eye required a subscription for online play. It looks like that’s changing with this new title, though.

Tengo bastante tiempo apartado de los shooters, pero todo el ruido que ha hecho la gente de EA sobre la salida de su nuevo Battlefield 6 ha despertado mi interés, especialmente en su Beta abierta que estará disponible el próximo fin de semana. Nunca fui jugador frecuente de esta franquicia, ya que sus juegos más recientes, los que llamaron mi atención, requerían de una suscripción para poder jugar en linea, pero con este nuevo juego parece que la cosa cambia.
Every Battlefield game has a campaign and plenty of other multiplayer modes. But the battle royale mode, which became popular thanks to PUBG and Fortnite, was something this franchise never adopted, unlike Call of Duty, for example. However, Battlefield 6 will feature a free-to-play battle royale mode. That's super interesting because I’m curious to see how they'll integrate their signature large-scale, tactical destruction into it.
Sabemos que cada entrega del juego Battlefield tiene un modo campaña, y muchos otros modos de juego que el final son multijugador, pero el modo battle royale que llegó al mundo de los videojuegos gracias a PUBG y Fornite, no fue adoptado por esta franquicia como lo hizo Call of Duty por ejemplo, sin embargo, el Battlefield 6 contará con este modo free to play. Esto será bastante interesante, porque me llama la atención saber cómo integrarán ese combate de destrucción táctica a gran escala que los caracteriza.
The beta is split into two weekends. You can pre-load it starting today on most platforms, except for the Nintendo Switch 2. The first weekend runs from August 9th to the 10th, which is Saturday and Sunday, and includes three maps: Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, and Iberian Offensive. The available game modes will be Conquest, Conquest with Closed Weapons, Advance, Domination, and King of the Hill.
Volviendo a la Beta, está estructurada en dos fines de semana, ya es posible hacer una precarga desde hoy en casi todas las plataforma a excepción de Nintendo switch 2. El primer fin de semana tiene lugar desde el 9 de agosto al 10, es decir, sábado y domingo, tendrá 3 mapas disponibles: Asedio de El Cairo, Pico de la liberación, y Ofensiva ibérica. Contará con los modos de juego: Conquista, Conquista con armas cerradas, Avance, Dominación y Toma la colina.
The second weekend is a bit longer, running from August 14th to the 17th—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Since it’s a longer test period, it will feature four maps: Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, Iberian Offensive, and Empire State. There will also be more game modes available: Conquest, Conquest with Closed Weapons, Advance, Domination, King of the Hill, Assault, and TCT: Patrol.
El segundo fin de semana es más extenso, será desde el 14 al 17 de agosto osea viernes, sábado y domingo. Por ser el periodo de prueba más extenso contará con 4 mapas: Asedio de El Cairo, Pico de la liberación, Ofensiva ibérica y Empire State. También habrá mayor cantidad de modos de juego disponibles: Conquista, Conquista con armas cerradas, Avance, Dominación, Toma la colina, Asalto y TCT: Patrulla.
Just a heads-up, the pre-load is already live for PC, PS5, and Xbox as of August 4th. This is a great chance to give the game a try. I did the same with 2042 and wasn't impressed enough to buy it, but this one seems to offer a few new things. I’ll be sure to share my thoughts after the first weekend. Yo lo hice con el 2042 y no me gusto tanto como para comprarlo, pero al parecer este ofrece varias innovaciones, así que espero traerles mis impresiones luego del primer fin de semana, pero ¿tú te animarías a probar este juego?
