I finally got around to trying this game since its release. Honestly, I hadn't touched a game in a long time, and what a great way to get back into gaming than with Gran Turismo. I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much; I had a lot of fun, especially with the challenge of getting the gold licenses.

Finalmente desde que fue lanzado este juego pude probarlo, la verdad que no había tocado ningún juego desde hace mucho tiempo, y que buena manera de volver a jugar que con Gran Turismo porque no pensé que lo iba a disfrutar tanto, me divertí bastante, en especial con el reto de lograr la licencia de oro.
My son had already started playing it and inadvertently did so on my profile, so he had unlocked a car or two and achieved the first two licenses, but all in bronze. I wasn't bothered that he had done some things because it's always a challenge to improve other people's records, so I set out to get the licenses in gold.
Mi hijo ya lo había comenzado a jugar y sin darse cuenta lo hizo en mi sesión, así que había desbloqueado uno que otro carro y logrado las dos primeras licencias pero todo de bronce. No me molesto que hubiera hecho algunas cosas porque siempre es un desafío mejorar los records de los demás, así que me propuse lograr las licencias en oro.
For those who aren't familiar with what I'm talking about, the licenses in Gran Turismo, depending on their level, are what allow you to access certain races; the more difficult ones give you access to the higher categories with faster cars. It's a system that imitates real-world motorsports, but here it's all about setting the fastest time; the gold license qualifies you as the fastest.
Para los que no están familiarizados con lo que digo, las licencias en Gran turismo según su nivel, son las que te permiten acceder a ciertas carreras, las más difíciles te dan acceso a las categorías más altas con carros más rápidos. Es un sistema que imita al real en el automovilismo, pero acá todo se trata de hacer menos tiempo, la licencia de oro te califica como el más rápido.
I had forgotten how challenging they can be; if you're competitive, you find yourself repeating them over and over again until you achieve the fastest time and get the gold. It's all about braking at the precise moment, not overdoing it, releasing the accelerator as little as possible, and taking the curves perfectly, without drifting, without going off the track, or anything like that.
Había olvidado lo desafiantes que pueden ser, si eres competitivo, sin darte cuenta la repites una tras otra vez hasta lograr el menor tiempo y sacarla en oro. Todo se trata de frenar en el momento preciso, no hacerlo de además, soltar lo menos que puedas el acelerador y tomar las curvas perfectamente, si derrapar, sin salirte de la pista ni nada por el estilo.
Once I had attempted several licenses, I decided it was time for a race to see how my skills were. I was pleasantly surprised by the game; it was a blast from the past. The cars available to choose from are all gems from the early games, old cars that are now considered classics, for example, the Mazda RX-7 that I used for this race.
Una vez que intente varias licencias, decidí que era tiempo para una carrera a ver cómo estaban mis habilidades. Me sorprendió gratamente el juego, fue un golpe a la nostalgia, los carros disponibles para elegir todos son joyas de las primeros juegos, carros viejos pero que hoy se consideran joyas, por ejemplo el Mazda RX-7 que use para esta carrera.
You save the perfect and precise driving for the licenses; in the race, you forget everything and floor the accelerator, which, by the way, the whole experience of playing with the DualSense was something else because the L2 and R2 triggers are configured by default to provide resistance when pressed, which quickly tires your fingers, but in the options, you can deactivate it and set it to be softer.
La conducción perfecta y precisa la dejas para las licencias, en la carrera se te olvida todo y pisas al fondo el acelerador, que por cierto fue toda la experiencia jugar con el dualsense porque los gatillos L2 y R2 vienen configurados por defecto para hacer resistencia al presionarlos, lo cual cansa rápidos los dedos, pero en las opciones puedes desactivarlo y colocarlo más suave.
I remembered my old days when, to overtake the faster cars, I would give them a little nudge to make them brake and get into a position to accelerate, but this time it didn't work out well, and I lost a couple of positions while competing. This game mode doesn't offer any rewards for achieving first place; there are no cups or championships, just some tracks.
Recordé mis viejos tiempo en los que para rebasar a los carros más rápidos les daba un pequeño toque para frenar y quedar en posición de acelerar, pero está vez no me salió bien y perdí un par de posiciones al competir. Este modo de juego no ofrece ninguna recompensa por lograr la primera posición, no hay copas o campeonatos, solo algunas pistas.
But despite the lack of cups or championships, the experience is fun, especially with the licenses, and I still have to finish the last one and unlock some cars. It's clear that this game is designed to spark interest in potential new players and get them to buy Gran Turismo 7, and to trigger nostalgia in older players to see if we're encouraged to buy it too, but personally, I prefer to invest in another game.
Pero a pesar de haber copas o campeonatos, la experiencia es divertida, en especial con la licencia, que me falta terminar la última y desbloquear algunos carros. Es claro que este juego es para despertar el de nuevos jugadores potenciales y comprar Gran turismo 7, y activar la nostalgia de los antiguos jugadores a ver si nos animamos a comprarlo también, pero personalmente prefiero invertir en otro juego.
