Hello friends of the community.

After more than a month of waiting, I finally have in my hands my new gamer cabinet, which is a Montech XR. I bought this cabinet mainly because it is very economical and because of the obvious lack of space I had in my previous one, which made my setup not only look extremely ugly, but also had some cooling issues. Luego de más de un mes de espera, por fin tengo en mis manos mi nuevo gabinete gamer, el cual es un Montech XR. Compré este gabinete principalmente debido a que es muy económico y a la evidente falta de espacio que tenía en el anterior, lo cual hacía que no solo se viera extremadamente feo mi setup, sino que también tenía algunos problemas de refrigeración. Si no me creen, miren este desastre 👇.

Gabinete antiguo

As I held the box in my hands, I couldn't believe how big it was and keep in mind that I am not a small person. So I immediately assumed that inside the package would come more than just the cabinet and I wasn't wrong. Inside came a quilt, which had been a rudimentary attempt by my cousin to guard the glass side of the cabinet.

Al tener la caja en mis manos, no podía creer lo grande que era y tengan en cuenta que no soy una persona pequeña. Así que inmediatamente supuse que dentro del paquete vendría algo más que el gabinete y no me equivoqué. Dentro venía una colcha, la cual había sido un intento rudimentario por parte de mi primo para cuidar el lado de cristal del gabinete.

As I mentioned earlier, the enclosure is the MONTECH XR, an ATX Mid-Tower ATX PC gaming case, which features 3 pre-installed 4.724in PWM ARGB fans, full-view dual tempered glass panel, and a wood grain design I/O interface. (1).

Como ya mencioné anteriormente, el gabinete es el MONTECH XR, una funda ATX Mid-Tower para juegos de PC, que cuenta con 3 ventiladores ARGB PWM de 4.724in preinstalados, panel de vidrio templado dual de visión completa y una interfaz de E/S de diseño de grano de madera. (1).

UNBOXING

Now that we know the specifications of the cabinet and we have a reference image of what it should look like, I proceed with the unboxing. Again, I am surprised with the size of the box, which appears huge next to me. I thought it would be smaller, but I see it is not.

Ya que conocemos las especificaciones del gabinete y tenemos una imagen de referencia de cómo debería ser, procedo con el unboxing. Nuevamente me sorprendo con el tamaño de la caja, la cual se muestra enorme al lado mío. Pensé que sería más pequeño, pero ya veo que no.

After opening the box, I finally see part of the cabinet, and at the same time I notice that the polystyrene packaging only covers the front and back. So my cousin did well to put the quilt so that it would protect the side of the glass a bit.

Luego de abrir la caja, por fin veo una parte del gabinete, y al mismo tiempo observo que el embalaje de poliestireno solo cubre la parte frontal y trasera. Así que mi primo hizo bien en poner la colcha para que protegiera un poco el lateral del cristal.

Using my bed as a table, I remove the packaging protections and for the first time I see it completely. It is beautiful.

Utilizando mi cama como mesa, elimino las protecciones del embalaje y por primera vez lo veo completamente. Es hermoso.

I performed a brief inspection to see if everything was OK and, fortunately, it was in perfect condition. There were no scratches, fractures or any loose components. I was surprised at how well made it was and the quality of the materials.

Le realizo una breve inspección para ver si todo estaba bien y, por suerte, estaba en perfectas condiciones. No había rayaduras, fracturas ni ningún componente flojo. Me sorprendió lo bien hecho que estaba y la calidad de los materiales.

After removing the glass cover, I make a more detailed inspection of the interior looking for any damage to the fans, but again everything is in optimal conditions. I guess I should feel lucky, considering the distance I travel and the time it takes me to get there.

Luego de retirar la tapa de cristal, realizo una inspección más detallada al interior en busca de algún desperfecto en los ventiladores, pero nuevamente todo está en óptimas condiciones. Creo que debo sentirme afortunado, teniendo en cuenta la distancia que viajo y el tiempo que demoro en llegar.

While removing the two magnetic dust screens, I found the instruction manual and a bag containing other bags inside, filled with different types of screws and cable ties for cable management. This surprised me a lot, as I had never had one of these chassis before, so I didn't know they had all this extra stuff in them.

Mientras retiraba las dos mallas magnéticas antipolvo, me encontré con el manual de instrucciones y una bolsa que contenía otras bolsitas adentro, llenas de distintos tipos de tornillos y bridas para hacer la organización de cables. Esto me sorprendió bastante, ya que nunca había tenido un chasis de estos, así que no sabía que traían todas estas cosas adicionales.

In the back I found all the jumble of cables from the fans, the space where the power supply and hard disks go, and the connector system of the front ports of the cabinet.

Por la parte de atrás encontré todo el amasijo de cables de los ventiladores, el espacio donde va la fuente y los discos duros, y el sistema de conectores de los puertos frontales del gabinete.

UNBOXING EXTRA

Additionally, I wanted to show you two things that I bought along with the cabinet that came inside. One is a new pair of T-Force Delta R brand DDR4 RAM and the other is an ARGB light controller. I needed the controller because my motherboard uses JRGB technology and has no ARGB port, so to connect and control all the fans and other lights I needed one of those.

Adicionalmente, quería mostrarles dos cosas que compré junto con el gabinete y que venían dentro. Una de ellas es un nuevo par de RAM DDR4 de la marca T-Force Delta R y el otro es un controlador de luces ARGB. El controlador lo necesité porque mi placa madre utiliza tecnología JRGB y no posee puerto ARGB, así que para conectar y controlar todos los ventiladores y demás luces necesitaba uno de esos.

I must admit that I am very satisfied with this cabinet. Firstly, because despite being extremely economical and being my first gamer cabinet, I was quite surprised by the finish and the materials used in its construction. I am sure I will keep it for a long time and I will add new things like a new cooling and new fans to increase the internal airflow and beautify it even more.

Debo admitir que estoy muy satisfecho con este gabinete. Primeramente, porque a pesar de ser extremadamente económico y ser mi primer gabinete gamer, me sorprendió bastante el acabado y los materiales utilizados en su confección. Estoy seguro de que lo tendré un buen tiempo y le agregaré nuevas cosas como una nueva refrigeración y nuevos ventiladores para aumentar el flujo de aire interno y embellecerlo aún más.
