Otra consola para la Colección / Another console for the Collection (+ Gameplays) [Eng/Esp]

Hola amigos de Hive y de la querida comunidad Geek Zone, nos vemos nuevamente pero no para mostrarles un nuevo episodio de Modo Gaming (pronto volvemos), sino para hablarles de una adquisición que hace unos meses atrás conseguí con mi sobrino... una PSP.

Esta consola revolucionó el mundo de las portátiles porque se trataba de una Playstation 2 prácticamente, que podías guardar en tu bolsillo o en tu bolso, algo que sin duda fue una jugada magistral de Sony en el mercado de los videojuegos.

Esta belleza salió en 2004 y se descontinúo en 2014, sin embargo sigue siendo de las consolas retro más cotizadas entre los coleccionistas actualmente por tener unos juegos geniales y ser una revolución tecnológica. Cabe resaltar que la PSP utiliza un formato de mini disco llamado UMD que venía protegido en un case plástico con una abertura para el lector.

Pude llegar a esta consola por medio de un intercambio, yo tenía en mi colección una Nintendo Gamecube plateada con 2 controles y 2 juegos originales y en este caso me dieron la PSP con 2 memorias micro sd que traían cada una más de 20 juegos propios de la consola y emuladores de Nes y SuperNes. La consola estaba en muy buen estado y quedé realmente satisfecho con el cambio ya que jamás la había probado.

Hello friends of Hive and the beloved Geek Zone community, we meet again but not to show you a new episode of Gaming Mode (we'll be back soon), but to tell you about an acquisition that a few months ago I got with my nephew... a PSP.

This console revolutionized the handheld world because it was practically a Playstation 2 that you could keep in your pocket or in your bag, something that was undoubtedly a masterful move by Sony in the video game market.

This beauty came out in 2004 and was discontinued in 2014, however it is still one of the most sought after retro consoles among collectors today for having great games and being a technological revolution. It should be noted that the PSP uses a mini disc format called UMD that came protected in a plastic case with an opening for the reader.

I was able to get this console through an exchange, I had in my collection a silver Nintendo Gamecube with 2 controllers and 2 original games and in this case they gave me the PSP with 2 micro sd memories that each brought more than 20 games of the console and emulators of Nes and SuperNes. The console was in very good condition and I was really satisfied with the exchange since I had never tried it before.

Next I will show you the features of this console through photos in its 3000 model and in the video you will be able to know better the graphic quality through some gameplays that I made... so Geeks friends, without further ado... Let's Rock!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Visually the console is very nice, I like its black color, design and aesthetics; it is very comfortable to touch and pleasant to play. In its front view we can appreciate the arrows, a directional stick (which at first I thought it was a microphone 😅), the usual 4 buttons on the right, the L and R above and below the screen, we have volume, music, select, start and the main menu button. On the back we see the brand new logo that uses the same typography as the Playstation 2, right where the disk drive is, looks pretty cool right?

In these side views we see that its thickness is acceptable, in turn we have on one side, the power button and on the other the slot where the memories that bring digital games or any other type of information are inserted, since in this console we can watch movies, record gameplays and take pictures, to read books in digital format and listen to good music.

On the top of the PSP, we have a button that turns on the wi-fi connection, the L and R buttons that are transparent and the mini-type charging or data transfer port. At the bottom we have the power port and the headphone connection slot, something too cool when playing games.

I was impressed by how compact the drive unit is and also how retro it looks when opened, it reminded me of Walkmans when cassettes were inserted, I really liked that particular detail.
