Greetings friends. It is always a pleasure for me to share with you my progress and adventures in the Pokémon Quest game.
Today, as you can see in the title of the game, my adventure in the game is about looking for one of my favorite Pokémon, Gengar. I've been looking for him for a while, but I couldn't find him, of course I can't find Gengar directly, but Gastly, then you have to evolve it.
I tried with many recipes, but I could not, I just had no luck. Fortunately I searched on youtube for some guides and I found the way. You see, in case you don't know, in Pokémon Quest you have a camp, where different types of Pokémon arrive. To attract the ones we don't have, we can make recipes with different ingredients, those Pokémon will arrive depending on the type of recipe you make, well, I recently managed to make one that attracted a Gastly, it was only level 6, a minimum level with which many arrive to the camp, but it would be my job to make it grow.

Saludos amigos. Siempre es un placer para mi compartir con ustedes mis avances y aventuras en el juego de Pokémon Quest.
Hoy, como pueden ver en el título del juego, mi aventura en el juego se trata de buscar a uno de mis Pokémon favoritos, Gengar. Estuve buscándolo desde hace un tiempo, pero no lograba encontrarlo, desde luego no puedo encontrar directamente a Gengar, sino a Gastly, después hay que hacerlo evolucionar.
Lo intenté con muchas recetas, pero no lograba, simplemente no tenía suerte. Afortunadamente busqué en youtube algunas guías y pues encontré la manera. Verán, en caso de que no lo sepan, en Pokémon Quest uno tiene un campamento, en donde llegan distintos tipos de Pokémon. Para atraer a los que no tenemos, podemos hacer recetas con diversos ingredientes, esos Pokémon llegarán dependiendo del tipo de receta que uno haga, pues bien, hace poco logré hacer una que atrajo a un Gastly, apenas era de nivel 6, un nivel mínimo con el que muchos llegan al campamento, pero ya sería mi trabajo hacerlo crecer.
That's precisely what I did. I formed a team with Blastoise and Magmar, which are among the strongest I have, after Magneton. Blastoise level 100 and Magmar level 70. They are very powerful compared to the small Gastly, which I also included in the team to make high-level expeditions.
In these expeditions I face, with my team, enemies of different levels, but all of them high level, almost equal or even higher than Blastoise and Magmar. However, as I go as a team, we often manage to beat them.
Eso fue lo que precisamente hice. Formé un equipo con Blastoise y Magmar, que son de los más fuertes que tengo, después de Magneton. Blastoise de nivel 100 y Magmar de nivel 70. Son muy poderosos en comparación al pequeño Gastly, al cual también incluí al equipo para hacer expediciones de alto nivel.
En estas expediciones enfrento, con mi equipo, a enemigos de distintos niveles, pero todos de nivel alto, casi igual o aún mayor que los de Blastoise y Magmar. Sin embargo, como voy en equipo, con frecuencia logramos ganarles.
Since one can select the level of demand, I chose a level that was not so high, but not so low either, so we set out on the expedition and in no time we reached level 25, a level at which I could have Gastly evolve into Haunter.
Como uno puede seleccionar el nivel de exigencia, yo elegí un nivel que no fuese tan alto, pero tampoco tan bajo, así que nos lanzamos a la expedición y en poco tiempo llegamos al nivel 25, un nivel en el que podría hacer que Gastly evolucionara a Haunter.
Sooner rather than later, my Haunter managed to evolve into a powerful and chubby Gengar of level 36, the minimum level for it to evolve.
I had to do about ten expeditions to reach this level and of course, I also trained Haunter with another Gastly that had arrived at the camp, which increased his level even more, to evolve Gengar.
Más temprano que tarde, mi Haunter logró evolucionar a un poderoso y gordito Gengar de nivel 36, el nivel mínimo para que este evolucione.
Tuve que hacer aproximadamente unas diez expediciones para lograr llegar a este nivel y claro, también entrené a Haunter con otro Gastly que había llegado al campamento, lo que le aumento aún más de nivel, para lograr evolucionar a Gengar.
And there was my new team, which varied from time to time, changing Blastoise for Magneton and vice versa, keeping Gengar and Magmar in the other two positions of the team, so that they could benefit from the expeditions and continue to level up.
Y ahí estaba mi nuevo equipo, el cual variaba de vez en cuando, cambiando a Blastoise por Magneton y viceversa, manteniendo a Gengar y Magmar en los otros dos puestos del equipo, para que estos se pudieran beneficiar de las expediciones y continuar aumentando de nivel.
Of course, I wanted to know what moves Gengar could use, so I subjected it to move training with other Pokémon arriving at camp. In the animation below you can see that I had him turn him in with a Nidoran and a Magmar, which changed his original move, low hit, to Fatuous Fire.
Por supuesto, quería conocer los movimientos que podría usar Gengar, así que lo sometí a entrenamiento de movimiento con otros Pokémon que llegaban al campamento. En la animación de abajo pueden ver que le hice entregar con un Nidoran y un Magmar, lo que cambió su movimiento original, golpe bajo, por Fuego Fatuo.
The move was not quite good, so I continued with the training, obtaining Rato Confuso, which causes, as its name says, confusion in the enemies. This is good, as it paralyzes the most powerful enemies for a moment, preventing them from attacking the team with their most powerful moves.
El movimiento no era del todo bueno, así que continué con los entrenamientos, obteniendo Rato Confuso, que causa, como su nombre lo dice, confusión en los enemigos. Esto es bueno, ya que paraliza por momento a los enemigos más poderosos, evitando que ataquen al equipo con sus movimientos más poderosos.
I trained with many moves, until I finally settled on one called Impress, with this attack it causes more damage than with the others, so I stayed with that one after trying others. In the image below you can see some of the attacks that Gengar had before, they were not very good.
Entrené con muchos movimientos, hasta que al final me quedé con uno que se llama Impresionar, con este ataque causa más daño que con los otros, así que me quedé con ese después de intentar otros. En la imagen de abajo pueden ver algunos de los ataques que antes tenía Gengar, no eran del todo buenos.
Basically, I managed to increase Gengar's level so much that I was able to go on very high level expeditions with him, where I could fight other powerful enemies, such as the legendary birds Moltres and Articuno.
Básicamente logré aumentar tanto el nivel de Gengar, que pude lanzarme con este a expediciones de muy alto nivel en donde podría pelear con otros enemigos poderosos, como las aves legendarias Moltres y Articuno.
There was even an expedition where, together with Magmar and Blastoise, I managed to defeat a Mewtow that appeared on the expedition. By this point, the one that started as a small Gastly was now a powerful level 60 Gengar.
Incluso hubo una expedición en donde, junto con Magmar y Blastoise, logré derrotar a un Mewtow que apareció en la expedición. Ya para este punto, el que comenzó como un pequeño Gastly, ahora era un poderoso Gengar de nivel 60.
Well folks, that's all for now. As you can see, I managed to find Gengar and level him up pretty quickly. I'm still hunting for Eevee, who resists to reach my camp, but just as I found Gengar, I'll also manage to find this elusive Evee to evolve its three evolutions Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon, but that's a topic for another day...

Bien amigos, esto ha sido todo por ahora. Como ven, logré encontrar a Gengar y aumentarlo de nivel bastante rápido. Aún sigo a la caza de Eevee, quien se resiste a llegar a mi campamento, pero así como encontré a Gengar, también lograré encontrar a este escurridizo Evee para lograr evolucionar a sus tres evoluciones Jolteon, Vaporeon y Flareon, pero eso es tema para otro día...
