Hello Hive, I just tried out this revitalized game: Tree of Savior NEO. Its first version was launched almost a decade ago, but a new company brought it back to life (which is why it has the "NEO" in its title), with improved graphics and a lot of content. Its main characteristic is how cute this game is; everything looks like a drawing painted with watercolors. Also, a great part of its content is cat-related, making it even more appealing. It launched 20 days ago, so come check out this MMO RPG!

Hola Hive, acabo de probar este juego renovado: Tree of Savior NEO. Su primera versión se lanzó hace casi una década, pero una nueva compañía lo resucitó (de ahí su nombre, "NEO") con gráficos mejorados y mucho contenido. Su principal característica es lo adorable que es; todo parece un dibujo pintado con acuarelas. Además, gran parte de su contenido está relacionado con gatos, lo que lo hace aún más atractivo. Se lanzó hace 20 días, ¡así que ven a descubrir este MMO RPG!

Gender & Class Selection

The game has a simple interface and customization for your character. At first, all you can choose is your gender without applying any changes to your looks. Don't worry, though; look changes are abundant in-game, but they are available later on. The looks are the main part of its gacha system.

El juego cuenta con una interfaz sencilla y opciones de personalización para tu personaje. Al principio, solo puedes elegir tu género sin modificar tu apariencia. Pero no te preocupes: los cambios de apariencia son abundantes en el juego, pero estarán disponibles más adelante. La apariencia es la parte principal de su sistema gacha.

There are five different classes in Tree of Savior. One focuses on defense, two on ranged attacks, one melee combat, and a healer. I am always drawn to ranged attackers, whether it is a mage or archer role. Yet, this time I chose the healer to try something new, and because the character looks.

Once that is settled, you get to experience simple combat and try out the skills of your class. The game also explains that a class upgrade will happen past a certain level, but those details are not mentioned.

Catmiliars

During Gender selection, you also get to pick a cat familiar or companion. You have three main options. This cat follows you through the portal to enter the fantasy world.

As part of the introduction, you Catmiliar (Cat+Familiar) evolves and it transforms into a companion who aids you in battle. Now, there are many types of catmiliars you can obtain, and this is also the second type of gacha within the TOS world. Added to this, the catmiliars can have different shapes and sizes. The first one we obtain is the Calpaca (cat+alpaca). We are also told they evolve and grow in power just as our character does.

Como parte de la introducción, tu Catmiliar (Gato + Familiar) evoluciona y se transforma en un compañero que te ayuda en la batalla. Hay muchos tipos de catmiliars que puedes obtener, y este es también el segundo tipo de gacha en el mundo de TOS. Además, los catmiliars pueden tener diferentes formas y tamaños. El primero que obtenemos es el Calpaca (gato + alpaca). También se nos dice que evolucionan y aumentan su poder al igual que nuestro personaje.

Plot & Combat

The main argument is simple: we were brought to this world by some ritual in the hope of saving Yggdrasil, the sacred tree. We receive its power to fight against the evil dragon who tries to burn the tree to ashes. Later on, we must collect special magical seeds to restore Yggdrasil's powers in full and save the world.

Combat is classic of mobile games. We have our set of skills and only need to push the buttons as we see fit. It also has an auto battle mode for casting them. I thought it was all cuteness and rainbows, but I was killed a couple of times by difficult monsters.

El argumento principal es simple: fuimos traídos a este mundo mediante un ritual con la esperanza de salvar a Yggdrasil, el árbol sagrado. Recibimos su poder para luchar contra el malvado dragón que intenta reducirlo a cenizas. Más adelante, debemos recolectar semillas mágicas especiales para restaurar por completo los poderes de Yggdrasil y salvar el mundo.

El combate es clásico de los juegos para móviles. Tenemos nuestro conjunto de habilidades y solo necesitamos pulsar los botones cuando queramos. También cuenta con un modo de batalla automática para lanzarlas. Pensé que era todo ternura y arcoíris, pero me mataron un par de veces monstruos difíciles.

Game Modes

Tree of Savior NEO has many game modes. I have only unlocked the basics, yet it seems to have something for everyone. Aside from all kinds of battles, we have the option to develop jobs, build a house, and so much more. It also has a guild system called Knight Orders. Being a recent launch, TOA is getting filled with players fast. MY only critique is the lack of optimization for PC, but I do hope developers address those issues soon.

I think it has lovely graphics, a cute environment, and it could be a relaxing way to break the routine while enjoying the familiarity of an RPG. If you decide to try it out, let me know. I joined server EST-06.

Tree of Savior NEO tiene muchos modos de juego. Solo he desbloqueado lo básico, pero parece tener opciones para todos los gustos. Además de todo tipo de batallas, podemos desarrollar trabajos, construir una casa y mucho más. También cuenta con un sistema de gremios llamado Órdenes de Caballeros. Al ser un lanzamiento reciente, TOA se está llenando de jugadores rápidamente. Mi única crítica es la falta de optimización para PC, pero espero que los desarrolladores solucionen esos problemas pronto.

Creo que tiene gráficos geniales, un entorno encantador y podría ser una forma relajante de romper con la rutina mientras disfrutas de la familiaridad de un RPG. Si te animas a probarlo, avísame. Me uní al servidor EST-06.
