A little over a week ago I downloaded the new Pokemon video game that has given so much to talk about since its launch, both for how fun and addictive it has been, and for how ridiculously long it can be to get all the collectibles in case you want to play completely Free To Play. This title is Pokemon TCG Pocket, a mobile and more simplified version of the famous Pokémon TCG game which is already a fairly simple and easy to understand card game, unlike other card games much more complex and practically absurd to understand as may be the case of Yu Gi Oh.
Like any pokemon TCG game, the rules and the way to play is quite simple, you have your pokemon cards which can evolve if you have their evolution card and use it at least one turn after placing the pokemon or evolve it, you place energies in each pokemon to perform their attacks and you have cards of objects or trainers with simple and concise uses, all very simple, but even this becomes even simpler in Pokemon TCG Pocket where the number of cards and victory condition is significantly reduced.
One of the main differences in this mobile game and the full version of the TCG is the amount of cards in the deck, in this mobile version our deck will have a maximum of 20 cards making the game much more dynamic and brief to have many fewer cards, additionally something peculiar is the way to get elemental energy and is that they are generated automatically one at a time and randomly if you have pokemon of various types making each turn you have a random elemental energy to equip it.
As it is a simpler version of the TCG game, the victory condition must also be simpler and faster and precisely why in this title to win a game you must manage to defeat only 3 pokemon of your opponent, it is understandable that you must eliminate few rival pokemon especially by the fact of only having 20 cards, Even in some games depending on the cards of the players, it is possible that you get to run out of cards in the deck, I do not know what will happen in case of running out of cards, but if it is common that at the end of the game you have only 3 or 2 cards left in the deck, this makes each game fast and perfect to play at any free time.
Currently as Pokemon TCG Pocket has very little time to have been released, the amount of cards is quite limited, there are just over 200 different cards to collect, and similarly we only have 3 different envelopes of cards to open which will be those of charizard, mewtwo and pikachu, this besides having an aspect of simplicity when creating the decks and not having to see between more than 1000 possible cards, also creates a feeling of nostalgia because the vast majority are from the first seasons of anime and early video games. Although despite being few cards you can take a long time to get them.
Perhaps the only negative aspect of this video game and that probably does not matter at all to the creators, is the way it treats F2P players. We have two main ways to get cards, opening envelopes of 5 cards and trying our luck with a random selection where we can choose envelopes opened by the community and randomly choose one of those cards, for free we can open 2 envelopes per day and we can also have a couple of random choices per day, we also have missions and objectives that we fulfill as we play and part of the rewards of the objectives are a clock that allows us to reduce the time we have to wait for each new envelope. We also have a store to get some specific cards with rewards.
Despite this, the speed with which you get cards is ridiculously slow and even though with the first levels you can open several packs, even combos of 10 packs relatively quickly, getting good cards to create a decent or competitive deck is low and depends a lot on luck, not counting the repeated cards. After a few days and several open packs I have a total of 147 cards, but there are few cards that would be useful to have a good deck, especially with those that need pokemon with evolutionary lines of 3 pokemon, this is even more complicated in the case of the cards of trainers or objects that seem to have less chances to appear compared to the pokemon.
In case you want to play Vs games and have several decks that can help you to win the games, you will have to wait a long time, even the most absurd news was how they already calculated the estimated time to complete the entire collection of cards for free and it is almost 3 years, of course if you want to have many cards or just have a good deck to play you will have to spend a lot of money in booster packs. I don't think I remember this used to happen in the full TCG video game where you could easily build a good deck relatively quickly. Despite this it is still an entertaining and especially very nice and addictive game.

Hace un poco más de una semana me descargue el nuevo videojuego de pokemon que ha dado de tanto que hablar desde su lanzamiento, tanto por lo divertido y adictivo que ha sido, como por lo ridículamente eterno que puede resultar conseguir todos los coleccionables en caso de querer ser un jugar completamente Free To Play. Este titulo se trata de Pokemon TCG Pocket una versión móvil y mas simplificada del famoso juego TCG de Pokémon el cual ya de por si se trata de un juego de cartas bastante simple y fácil de entender, no como otros juegos de cartas muchos más complejos y prácticamente absurdos de entender como puede ser el caso de Yu Gi Oh.
Como todo juego TCG de pokemon, las reglas y la forma de jugar es bastante sencilla, tienes tus cartas de pokemon las cuales pueden ir evolucionando si tienes su carta de evolución y la usas al menos un turno después de colocar el pokemon o evolucionarlo, colocas energías en cada pokemon para poder realizar sus ataques y tienes cartas de objetos o entrenadores con usos simples y concisos, todo muy sencillo, pero incluso esto se vuelve aún más sencillos en Pokemon TCG Pocket en donde el número de cartas y condición de victoria se reduce significativamente.
Una de las principales diferencias en este juego móvil y la versión completa del TCG es la cantidad de cartas en el mazo, en esta versión móvil nuestro mazo contara con un máximo de 20 cartas haciendo que el juego sea mucho más dinámico y breve al contar con muchas menos cartas, adicionalmente algo peculiar es la forma de conseguir energías elementales y es que las mismas se genera de manera automática de una por vez y de forma aleatoria en caso de tener pokemon de varios tipos haciendo que por cada turno tengas una energía elemental aleatoria para poder equiparla.
Como se trata de una versión mas simple del juego TCG, la condición de victoria también debe ser más sencilla y rápida y precisamente por eso en este titulo para ganar una partida debes lograr derrotar únicamente 3 pokemon de tu adversario, es comprensible que debes eliminar a pocos pokemon rivales en especial por el hecho de solo contar con 20 cartas, incluso en algunas partidas dependiendo de las cartas de los jugadores, es posible que llegues a quedarte casi sin cartas en el mazo, no se que pasara en caso de llegar a quedarte sin cartas, pero si suele ser frecuente que al final de la partida te quedan solo 3 o 2 cartas en el mazo, esto mismo hace que cada partida sea rápida y perfecta para jugar en cualquier momento libre.
Actualmente como Pokemon TCG Pocket tiene muy poco tiempo de haber sido lanzado, la cantidad de cartas es bastante limitada, hay poco mas de 200 cartas diferentes para poder coleccionar, y del mismo modo solamente contamos con 3 sobres de cartas diferentes para poder abrir los cuales serán los de charizard, mewtwo y pikachu, esto además de tener un aspecto de simplicidad a la hora de crear los mazos y no tener que ver entre mas de 1000 cartas posibles, también crea un sentimiento de nostalgia pues la gran mayoría son de las primeras temporadas del anime y los primeros videojuegos. Aunque a pesar de ser pocas cartas puedes demorar mucho en conseguirlas.
Tal vez el único aspecto negativo de este videojuego y que probablemente no le importe para nada a los creadores, es la forma en que trata a los jugadores F2P. Contamos con dos formas principales de conseguir cartas, abriendo sobres de 5 cartas y probando suerte con una selección al azar en donde podemos escoger sobres abiertos por la comunidad y escoger al azar una de esas cartas, de forma gratuita podemos abrir 2 sobres al día y también podemos tener un par de elecciones al azar por día, también tenemos misiones y objetivos que vamos cumpliendo a medida que jugamos y parte de las recompensas de los objetivos son un reloj que nos permite reducir el tiempo de esperar para cada nuevo sobre. También contamos con tienda para poder conseguir algunas cartas en específico con las recompensas.
A pesar de esto la velocidad con la cual consigues cartas es ridículamente lenta y por mas que con los primeros niveles puedes llegar a abrir varios sobres, incluso combos de 10 sobres relativamente rápido, el que consigas buenas cartas para crear un mazo un poco decente o competitivo es baja y depende de mucho de la suerte, sin contar las cartas repetidas. Luego de algunos días y varios sobres abiertos tengo un total de 147 cartas, pero son pocas las que me servirían para tener un buen mazo, en especial con aquellas que necesitan pokemon con líneas evolutivas de 3 pokemon, esto es incluso mas complicado en el caso de las cartas de entrenadores u objetos que parece tienen menos probabilidades de aparecer en comparación a los pokemon.
En caso de querer jugar partidas Vs y tener varios mazos que pueden ayudarte a ganar las partidas, deberás esperar mucho tiempo, incluso la noticia mas absurda fue como ya calcularon el tiempo estimado para completar toda la colección de cartas de forma gratuita y la misma es de casi 3 años, claro si quieres poder tener muchas cartas o simplemente tener un buen mazo para jugar deberás gastar mucho dinero en sobres. Esto creo recordar no solía pasar en el videojuego de TCG completo en donde fácilmente podías armar un buen mazo de manera relativamente rápida. A pesar de esto sigue siendo un videojuego entretenido y en especial muy bonito y adictivo.
