Debo admitir que no recuerda la fecha o la edad exacta cuando fui por primera vez a un arcade pero si tengo que hablar de la mejor experiencia en uno fue, sin dudas, esa primera vez; sé que no estaba tan pequeña, calculo que debo haber tenido entre unos 13/14 años y fui acompañada de mi papá.
Recuerdo que estaba paseando con él y vi un local con muchos juegos como maquinas, inmediatamente llamó mi atención y le dije a mi papá para ir pero en ese momento ya teníamos otro plan así que lo dejamos para otro día; fue ese mismo fin de semana que fuimos, nos dieron una tarjeta con una cantidad de pases, simulando los antiguos tickets, para cada una de las máquinas.
I must admit that I don't remember the date or the exact age when I went to an arcade for the first time but if I have to talk about the best experience in one it was, without a doubt, that first time; I know I wasn't that young, I guess I must have been around 13/14 years old and I went accompanied by my dad.
I remember I was walking with him and I saw a place with many games like machines, it immediately caught my attention and I told my dad to go but at that time we already had another plan so we left it for another day; it was that same weekend that we went, they gave us a card with a number of passes, simulating the old tickets, for each of the machines.
El primer juego que llamó mi atención fue uno de una moto debido a que yo amo con locura las motos, lo jugué muchísimo pero no quería gastarme todo el saldo de la tarjeta en ese solo juego así que me fui a probar otros; encontré uno de Mortal Kombat, ese juego siempre me ha gustado, luego encontré Pacman y fue increíble, nunca había jugado Pacman en máquina.
Así pasé por cada una de las máquinas, habían varias que no sé si son clásicos de los arcades como la máquina de baile o la máquina de garra pero tampoco lo pensé dos veces para probarlas.
The first game that caught my attention was a motorcycle game because I love motorcycles, I played it a lot but I didn't want to spend all my credit card balance in that one game so I went to try others; I found a Mortal Kombat game, I always liked that game, then I found Pacman and it was amazing, I had never played Pacman in a machine.
So I went through each one of the machines, there were several that I don't know if they are arcade classics like the dance machine or the claw machine but I didn't think twice to try them either.
Recuerdo que tuve que recargar la tarjeta tres veces porque se agotaba rápido para la cantidad de juegos y máquinas que habían, había una mesa de hockey en la que mi papá y yo gastamos la mayoría del saldo que había en esa tarjeta.
De verdad que ese día fue espectacular, creo que jamás había jugado tanto en mi vida y realmente lo que le dio el plus de especial fue haber experimentado todo eso junto a mi papá, ese día conocí algo del niño interior de él; quise volver pero para esas épocas la situación país estaba empezando sus peores años y cerraron el lugar, hace poco vi que abrieron algo parecido en el Centro Comercial El Recreo y tengo pendiente ir, funciona igual con una tarjeta a la que le recargas saldo y te da para todos los juegos como máquinas, lo que más me llama la atención es el Laser Tag porque es uno de mis juegos de Realidad Virtual favortios.
I remember that I had to recharge the card three times because it ran out quickly for the amount of games and machines that were there, there was a field hockey table where my dad and I spent most of the balance that was on the card.
That day was really spectacular, I think I had never played so much in my life and what really made it special was to have experienced all that with my dad, that day I got to know something of his inner child; I wanted to go back but by that time the country situation was starting its worst years and they closed the place, recently I saw that they opened something similar in El Recreo Mall and I have pending to go, it works the same with a card that you recharge balance and gives you for all the games like machines, what catches my attention is the Laser Tag because it is one of my favorite Virtual Reality games.
Hace ya casi un año fue junto a @dimeilaz a Virtus Next, más que un arcade es un parque inmersivo pero considero que esos serán los arcades del futuro; la experiencia fue increíble, aquí les dejo los vlogs que grabamos ese día:

Almost a year ago I went with @dimeilaz to Virtus Next, more than an arcade it's an immersive park but I think those will be the arcades of the future; the experience was amazing, here are the vlogs we recorded that day:

Si no fuese porque la primera la viví con mi papá, esta la pudiese considerar fácilmente la mejor experiencia de todas porque de verdad fue increíble; en el lugar pude dibujar, bailar, jugar con lentes de realidad virtual, animaciones, juegos clásicos de PlayStation y entrar a una sala donde te proyectan distintas imágenes relacionadas con ciertos temas.
Ese día me divertí demasiado junto a @dimeilaz y, lo más importante, nos permitimos ser niños en todo su esplendor, sin importar el qué dirán los demás, ese día solo queríamos ser felices y lo fuimos.
If it wasn't because I lived the first one with my dad, this one could easily be considered the best experience of all because it was really amazing; in the place I could draw, dance, play with virtual reality glasses, animations, classic PlayStation games and enter a room where they project different images related to certain topics.
That day I had so much fun with @dimeilaz and, most importantly, we allowed ourselves to be children in all its splendor, no matter what others would say, that day we just wanted to be happy and we were.
Me encantaría volver a Virtus Next pero ya no creo que sea lo mismo, realmente prefiero atesorar esa experiencia y recordarla con mucho cariño; al que sí tengo planeado ir desde mi cumpleaños es al Arcade que está en El Recreo, muero de ganas por jugar con el Laser Tag y pueden estar seguros que verán eso por acá.

I would love to go back to Virtus Next but I don't think it will be the same, I really prefer to treasure that experience and remember it fondly; the one I do plan to go to since my birthday is the Arcade that is in El Recreo, I can't wait to play with the Laser Tag and you can be sure you will see that here.
