Hace un tiempo atrás, les comenté sobre mis inicios usando la aplicación de Duolingo para aprender el idioma chino, y realmente ha sido todo un reto seguir el paso, ya que por lo general la usaba a última hora del dia, cuando el cansancio y Duo (el buhito verde) me lo recordaban. Inclusive algunos días he tenido que recurrir a la herramienta que permite "congelar" mi racha, para no perder la continuidad.
Y aunque no me lo tomo como un juego competitivo, pues he tratado de poner mi empeño en llegar lo más cerca posible al podium de ganadores, aunque me conformo con estar en el top 7 para subir de liga.
Actualmente ya pertenezco a la liga Perla, faltando solo dos más para llegar al tope. Pero lo más importante ha sido el conocimiento adquirido. Ya soy capaz de reconocer muchas de las palabras con tan solo ver los símbolos, e inclusive logro pescar algunas cosas que hablan los chinos del supermercado, pero no les digo a ellos, pues ese es su manera de secretear en público.
Ya me atrevo más a hacer las pruebas hablando, las cuales por lo general pasaba con la opción de "no puedo hablar ahora" y me enfoco en lograr gemas que me permitan presentar los exámenes para subir más rápido los niveles antes de que se cierre la competencia por los puestos de la liga.
Tambien busco participar en los retos paralelos, de manera de lograr otras insignias que hacen que mi perfil se vea mucho más llamativo. Solo me falta asociarme con algún amigo en un reto, pero dado que no siempre me conecto a la misma hora o con la misma duración y frecuencia, pues he obviado la sugerencia que me hace la App.
Debo decir que cuando empecé a usar la aplicación, no le tenía tanta fe al sistema, pero me ha demostrado que realmente si le pones empeño funciona bastante bien.
En mi caso, más que dominar el idioma al 100%, me sirve como gimnasia cerebral, que es una de las ventajas extras de practicar cosas nuevas.
Ahora pienso añadir el idioma portugués, que lo hablo de manera regular, pero todavía me cuesta mucho la gramática y quizás con la aplicación logre despejar mis dudas.

A while back, I told you about my beginnings using the Duolingo app to learn Chinese, and it's really been a challenge to keep up, since I usually used it at the end of the day, when fatigue and Duo (the green bug) reminded me of it. Some days I've even had to resort to the tool that allows me to "freeze" my streak, so as not to lose continuity.
And although I don't take it as a competitive game, because I've tried to put my effort into getting as close to the winners' podium as possible, even though I'm content with being in the top 7 to move up in league.
Currently I already belong to the Pearl league, only two more to reach the top. But the most important thing has been the knowledge acquired. I am already able to recognize many of the words just by looking at the symbols, and even catch some things that the Chinese people in the supermarket talk about, but I don't tell them, because that's their way of secreteering in public.
I already dare more to do the tests speaking, which I usually passed with the option of "I can't talk now" and I focus on achieving gems that allow me to present the exams to move up the levels faster before the competition for positions in the league closes.
I also look for parallel challenges, in order to achieve other badges that make my profile look much more attractive. I just need to associate with a friend in a challenge, but since I don't always connect at the same time or with the same duration and frequency, I have ignored the suggestion that the App makes to me.
I must say that when I started using the application, I didn't have much faith in the system, but it has shown me that if you really put effort into it, it works quite well.
In my case, more than mastering the language 100%, it serves me as brain gymnastics, which is one of the extra advantages of practicing new things.
Now I'm thinking of adding the Portuguese language, which I speak regularly, but I still find it very difficult to grammar and maybe with the application I can clear my doubts.
