Comfort is a word that is undeniably linked to technology. The advances in the world are taking place in terms of appliances and equipment that make our day to day, a more comfortable and bearable environment in terms of many activities of daily life.
Coffee, without any discussion, is the beginning of the mornings of almost every person in the world. Life without coffee would be nonsense and very sad as far as I am concerned. Nothing cheers you up more than a nice steaming cup of coffee at the start of every sunrise.
Until recently, I used to make coffee at home, manually, that is, pouring hot water through a cloth sleeve to brew with the coffee powder. This method, for many, is the best, however, it is limited at the time of making large or moderate quantities of coffee and it requires more attention and time.
It was there where my son Gabriel, suggested that we buy an electric coffee maker to make the process more comfortable and achieve more cups every time we decided to make coffee. We had the opportunity, in a very well-known store in our town, to buy an Oster brand (an excellent and well-known brand of appliances) that was at a good price.
I went to the DAKA store and purchased it for the price of $30. It has a maximum capacity of 12 cups, adjustable, of course, to the amount that one requires. It keeps the coffee hot without burning it and has an automatic shut-off function two hours after it is turned on, which I thought was very appropriate to ensure that the equipment is not damaged if it is left on and forgotten.
I liked that unlike the coffee makers of the past, which used disposable paper filters every time coffee was made, this one has a permanent, washable mesh filter. In other words, you do not have to use disposable filters, which are expensive and difficult to obtain. It consists of a piece where the filter goes and lets the brewed coffee pass through to the glass carafe, which is also a beauty.
It has a digital clock to set the time and also a programmable timer function to leave the coffee maker ready to turn on at a time set by the user. I love that it has helped me to optimize my time. I leave it ready the night before and in the morning I just press the power button and do other things while the coffee brews. Unlike before when everything was manual and consumed more of my time and attention.
I am fascinated with my new acquisition, so much so, that I no longer want to make coffee any other way than in it. Embracing technology to achieve comfort is something we should always keep in mind. El confort es una palabra que va ligada innegablemente a la tecnología. Los avances que en el mundo se van dando en cuanto a los electrodomésticos y equipos que hacen de nuestro día a día, un ambiente más confortable y llevadero en cuanto a muchas actividades de la vida diaria.
Tomar café, y sin discusión alguna, es el comienzo de las mañanas de casi todas las personas en este mundo. La vida sin café, sería un disparate y muy triste en lo que a mí respecta. Nada que te anime más, que una buena taza de café humeante al comienzo de cada amanecer.
Hasta hace poco, hacía el café en mi casa, de forma manual, o sea, vertiendo agua caliente a través de una manga de tela para colar con el café en polvo. Ese método, para muchos, es el mejor, sin embargo, es limitado a la hora de hacer grandes o moderadas cantidades de café y te conlleva más atención y tiempo.
Fue allí donde mi hijo Gabriel, me sugirió que compráramos una cafetera eléctrica para hacer más cómodo el proceso y lograr más tazas en cada momento que decidíamos hacer café. Se nos presentó la oportunidad, en una tienda muy conocida en nuestra localidad, de comprar una de marca Oster (una marca excelente y muy reconocida de electrodomésticos) que estaba a un buen precio.
Fui a la tienda DAKA y la adquirí por el precio de 30 $. Tiene para una capacidad máxima de 12 tazas, graduable, por supuesto, a la cantidad que uno requiera. Mantiene el café caliente y sin quemarlo y tiene una función de apagado automático a las dos horas de encendida, lo cual me pareció muy adecuado para garantizar que no se dañe el equipo en caso de dejarlo encendido y olvidarse.
Me gustó que a diferencia de las cafeteras de antes, las cuales usaban filtros de papel desechables en cada vez que se hacía café, esta trae un filtro de malla permanente y lavable. O sea, no tienes que usar filtros desechables, los cuales son costosos y difíciles de conseguir. Consta de una pieza donde va el filtro y deja pasar el café colado a la jarra de vidrio, la cual es una belleza también.
Tiene un reloj digital para colocarle la hora y también la función de temporizador programable para dejar lista la cafetera y se encienda a una hora determinada por el usuario. Me encanta que me ha ayudado a optimizar el tiempo. La dejo lista la noche anterior y en la mañana solo pulso el botón de encendido y hago otras cosas mientras se cuela el café. A diferencia de antes que todo era de forma manual y me consumía más tiempo y atención.
Estoy fascinada con mi nueva adquisición, tanto, que ya no quiero hacer café de otra forma que no sea en ella. Abrazarse a la tecnología para lograr el confort, es algo que siempre debemos tener presente. Una mejor vida en cuanto a optimizar el tiempo y hacerla más agradable y feliz de disfrutar.
